I Have LOWERED!! the reserve and buy it now price of this beautiful 1962 mercedes, here's your chance to own this classic car seen in major television programs such as The Saint, and Mod Squad. The car features an Eggshell White exterior and a bright lipstick Red interior. I am the third owner of this pristine vehicle. And have driven it only 800 miles total to car shows and dances in the 2 years i've owned it. It can travel 75 MPH on the freeway with no problems I bought it from a gentleman who was a mechanical engineer for BMW of Hong Kong and he meticulously maintained it in his custom made garage. He converted the vehicle to a 12 volt battery system and added a CD Player, Power antenna, Rear Defrost, and AC ducts. The vehicle has no Rust and the chrome and paint are in beautiful condition. There are a couple of spots by the passenger doors where he treated some rust and painted over but they are small and minimal. The car is an awesome classic sedan, built by Mercedes Benz in it's glory days and it follows Mercedes Benz quality craftsmanship. This car runs beautifully, starts up every time and the 4 speed transmission runs strong. Since owning it I have only done one repair to it. I bought a new Starter motor installed by a local certified Mercedes Benz mechanic. The car has no leaks, and no mechanical issues. This Mercedes starts up with no issues and burns no oil, or any other fluids. It is a daily driver and yields 28 mpg with it's 1.9 liter engine and single barrel stromberg carburetor. It is one of the few pristine condition tail fin mercedes out there. There was only 130,000 built that year and most of the ones out there require extensive mechanical work or body rust removal. The interior is in excellent condition and is all original minus a few modifications done by the previous owner such as: A center console with a 12v accessory outlet for charging a cell phone, installation of an amp and sub in the trunk and the vents for the AC. All these can be removed easily with just a wrench and a screwdriver. Included with the sale of the car will be, a new set of brand new authentic mercedes benz moon hub caps, and a brand new clutch. This car is ready to drive and be registered. it had a registration up thru fall of 2010. I have never driven this car in inclement weather and has always been stored in the winter.
