You are bidding on a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 5-Speed. This vehicle will be sold "As-Is" with a PA certificate of salvage. I just purchased this vehicle from a salvage auction and only drove it about 3 miles. Everything seems to be functioning except for the clutch pedal did not come up off the floor one time, I don't know if it needs a new slave cylinder? I will be test driving more this week and I will ad any more info. The rest of the vehicle is clean. I hear these cars get around 45 mpg. This is a diesel car. It is loaded up pretty good with options. This car will sell to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE. I encourage you to come view and test drive this vehicle. As far as why it has a salvage title, I have no idea. It may have been a stolen recovery? The only damage I am aware of is the clutch pedal. This is the way I brought it home from the salvage auction. The reason I purchased it from the auction is because it didn't have any obvious damage. I will be driving it around this week and going over it. If I find any other damage, I will post it in the ad.On Jan-22-11 at 10:07:27 PST, seller added the following information: Saturday morning, went out and started jetta, started right up at 4 degrees outside. Drove it down the road, the car is tight and runs good. Everything is working inside the vehicle. I still had the clutch pedal stay on the floor a few times. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it seems like the pedal locks down. Once you are in gear and give a little gas it seems to come back out. First it is illegal to drvie a salvage vehicle until the title has been reconstructed. Second, this car can not be driven until the clutch problem is addressed. I had a few test drivers and it appears to be hanging up more frequently now. Again, I am selling this vehicle stating it needs clutch work.
