Vehicle Detail

I have a 1967 VW Beetle with a 4 speed manual transmission, it’s a beauty! Classic cream color, pristine chrome bumpers, and an impeccable interior. The best part is how great it runs, new tires, not a ding or nick to be found and just a really cool car. I’ve had this 67’ Beetle since 2003, always garaged, and never seen inclement weather along with regular cleaning and detailing. A little history- I purchased the car in 2003 from VW Classic Restoration in Orange County, CA. The process was very complete including a rebuilt engine (currently has around 5000 miles on the rebuild engine) which is so clean that you can eat off of it. I had a total understanding of exactly what was done to the car with photos documenting all the improvements. When I decided to purchase the car, I was living in Indiana; I paid for the car to be freighted from California aboard a semi truck trailer. From the time it left California 7 years ago, it has never been exposed to any rain, snow, sleet or any adverse conditions. The car has been continually garaged in a climate controlled environment. Regular maintenance too, brakes, compression checks, etc. The interior is all original, and the things that are new, are original equipment, like the German weave carpets and floor mats. The seats were “stuffed” a bit because I like a fuller seat when I drive, I suspect most people would. It has the Blaupunkt AM radio and all controls, lights, wipers, etc, work properly. For those who follow Beetles closely, you know the 67’ is one of the most sought after model years because of the changes made to the Beetle the following year, 1968. It’s the last year of the “classic” look, chrome bumpers, low back seats, turn signals, etc. I can’t express enough how flawless the chrome is on this car. The heater boxes are perfectly intact and the heater works great. One of the many cool things about Beetles is that they have great heaters. Among the photos of the car that I uploaded here are undercarriage photos and pictures of the battery hold, two places where Beetles can typically have issues. This car does not have those issues. Why am I selling? I need garage space! A job transfer took me to Atlanta, so between my cars, wife’s car, kids stuff; it’s time to put it on the market.
