For sale is a black 1985 Corvette with the 4+3 speed manual transmission and the L98 5.7 liter V-8 engine. This Corvette has leather seats, the original working Bose sound system, tinted windows, and about 75% tread left on the tires. There are currently 53,XXX original miles on it. Mechanically, the car runs and drives very well, and the Bose sound system also works as it should, as do all of the power options. The interior of the car is in good condition, especially considering the age of the car, with no major or noticiable cracks in the plastic and only minor wear showing on the driver's seat. The exterior is also in good condition, with the only issues being small areas around the bottom of the doors where the clear coat has started peeling, and an area of spider-webbing on the back deck. The weather stripping is also in good shape and does not leak. Newly rebuilt or replaced parts include: - Rebuilt LCD digital dash display (Speedometer, Tach and center information display) - Rebuilt Mass Airflow Sensor - New Throttle Position Sensor - New 190 degree thermostat - New winsheild - New spark plugs, wires, fluids and filters. With the recent sale of my other vehicle the corvette has become my daily driver, and since that time I have found the following issues (reflected in the price reduction): - The Hot/Cold temperature selector is stuck in place, most likely due to a jammed blend air door or the the old wire connection needing to be replaced. Both the heat and A/C are in working order, however to be fully functional this will need to be fixed. - The carrier bearing in the overdrive portion of the transmission is beginning to wear and will need to be replaced. The car can still be driven, but will need attention in the near future. Over all this is a great deal for a low mileage, classic car, that with a little work would be a great daily driver or a perfect start to a show or race car. It would be hard to find another C4 that is this clean and intact for the price, not to mention the low mileage. The car is located in Senoia, GA, and I have a clear GA title in hand as well as all of the maintenance records, original manuals, and documentation on the car dating back to the original purchase.
