You are looking at a 92 BMW 323i which was professionally converted to 1998 M3 spec. The car has had all mechanical modifications including M3 engine swap, M3 brake and suspension upgrades, M3 body upgrades, and last but not least M3 interior upgrades, rebuilt LSD rear diff, lightened aluminum 10lb flywheel and new clutch. Many of the parts were bought new at the dealer, some were from a 77,000 miles parts car. All in all, about $9000 has been invested into the car as it was built to be kept, not sold! But life changes and another car has come into play, so this car must go, and at a huge discount to one lucky buyer. Most importantly, a qualified professional mechanic built this car, not some hack. Registration was brought up to date last week good until Oct 2011, clean title. Please call 949 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1 Exterior wise, the paint was done by a professional body man who only works on high end classic sports cars. His work is top notch. The painter is an associate of the mechanic who built this BMW and therefore, they swapped hour for hour labor. The paint would have normally cost $8000 which is what he charges for similar cars he has painted! I can almost guarantee you wont find a nice looking M3 out there. Aside from the paint, many new trim parts were bought from dealer, watch the video and see a good run down. Brand new parts include, all logos from dealer, new rubber bumper moldings and new side moldings, new side skirt rubber gaskets, rubber door handle seals, new trunk seal, new sunroof seal. It also has a new front nose piece, the one with the chrome grill built in. Headlights are brand new Euro HIDs, side markers are new as well as rear tail lights are brand new. Window squirters are new too. Has M3 mirrors as well. Wheels are BBS and are 17” all around. The rear ones shown in the photos are 18” and do not come with the car as they are sold. Interior wise, the car was fully converted over to M3 using a 1998 M3 as the donar car. The seats are very nice original Vadors, the leather is in good shape, one seam has split on drivers bottom cushion but still looks good. The carpet is in excellent shape and there are no wear spots or stains. The dash is from a 98 and is in excellent condition. The M3 cluster was also swapped over from the 98 M3, so mileage is TMU, chassis has around 230k on it. No smells in the car either. The headliner is brand new and looks good. A pillars and B pillars were bought brand new at the dealer, C pillars need to be bought and installed. Dome light is brand new purchased at dealer for $100, gas pedal rubber is new, window switches are new, headlight switch is new, has a new parcel tray and speaker covers both under rear window. Has new seat belt recepticles from dealerl The M sill plates were bought new at the dealer as well as inner sill rubber molding. Stereo is by Alpine and sounds good. Mechanically, the car has been swapped over 100% to M3 spec. The engine was swapped from a 98 M3 with 80k miles. The head was rebuilt with a valve job 3000 miles ago at the cost of $1000. The engine is very quick, very quick (see video). It has a performance computer chip upgrade as well. The clutch was replaced and the flywheel was upgraded with a 10 pound aluminum racing flywheel. The 5 speed transmission shifts perfectly with no issues. The LSD rear diff was rebuilt and new bearings and seals were added. Suspension wise, the car has complete suspension from the 98 parts car. The car has new Bilstein shocks in the front with race springs and Bilstein shocks in the rear. It has adjustable rear camber arms as well. Brakes were upgraded to M3 as well. Rear brakes are brand new including; rotor, disk and pads, front are in good shape with over 50% pad. It has the bigger 98 M3 half shafts which are hollowed out. It has a front strut brace as well with stock exhaust. Tires are in good shape, fronts have about 90% remaining and are 235 40 ZR17, rears are 245 40 ZR17. The AC condenser and compressor are brand new and freon is 100%. This car also has M3 subframe. This car was built as a keeper and the lucky owner of this car will get a great car! A few small things it needs as with any 26 year old car. The trunk needs carpeting, the c-pillar panel needs to be bought and installed.
