Vehicle Detail

I am looking to free up some space in my garage and am putting my Hawk up for sale. This bike is known by many as the Japanese Ducati. It has a great sound and feel. I purchased it in March of this year and have put about 850 miles on it this summer. It is one of the rare bikes that are both great for beginners as well as experts. The roads here are very twisty and this bike is a blast to ride. My only complaint is that I am 6'2" and am cramped on the bike. It is better for someone under 6'. I have a clear Florida Tit!e in my hands, the bike is currently registered and mileage may be slightly higher pending good weather. This year, I have put in a new Yuasa Sealed Battery ($85.00) and New Aluminum Bar Ends as one had fallen off ($20.00). A Few weeks ago, I replaced the chain (o-ring) and both front and rear sprockets (stock gearing)for about ($125.00 plus my time) . Last week I also replaced the thermostat ($50.00) and changed the coolant. Oil, filter and 4 spark plugs were changed several months ago as well. I recently installed the fairing (I believe it is made by Targa). It is very easy to remove if one wishes. The bike is in very good condition but has some paint chips and scratches which are reasonable given the bikes vintage. All lights, signals and horn work as they should. One side of the sub-frame has a bend (See picture) which I was told was caused by a previous owners mother who backed into the bike in their garage. I have a used sub-frame which is available with the bike. I never bothered replacing it as the one on it works fine. The exhaust heat shield below the right foot peg is scratched (see Photo) and there is some sole residue on the pipe. I have several parts which will be available to the new owner, for an additional cost, if he/she wishes to purchase them. From what I can tell, there are no signs of safety wire or racing use. It is pretty rare to find one of these gems that has not been raced. From the pictures you can see that the inside of the fuel tank is super clean. There are two small pieces of velcro glued to the front and rear of the fuel tank where a tank bag used to resdie. The bike will probably need a new rear tire sometime next season. I can deliver the bike in a limited range for a fee depending upon location. I will accept full payment by Paypal (See Payment instructions). Please email if you have any questions, wish to come see the bike or to make an offer. No test pilots, joy riders or crash test dummies. I will be sad to see her go but it is a great bike and needs to be ridden. I have heard that this model engine is reliable and is capable of traveling 100,000 miles. This would be a great bike to take to Daytona as it will fit in the back of most any pickup very easily. I have not listed the VIN due to scammers but the Florida tit!le is clear and in my name. Thanks for viewing my auction and check this link for interesting info on the Hawk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_NT650 Ps. bike is for sale locally and auction may end early if my buy it now price is met.On Jan-18-11 at 06:17:52 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention when I replaced the thermostat & gasket, I also replaced the fuel filter with an OEM Honda fuel filter. I just received a new air filter I purchased but have not installed it yet. I am waiting on the sub air filter element I purchased to arrive. The bike comes with the original tool kit but no owners manual. I have a Honda shop manual that will be included with the bike. I am available most days, evenings and weekends so coordinating pickup should be an easy task. Again, any questions, just ask.On Jan-18-11 at 09:27:54 PST, seller added the following information: I have been told the pics make the bike look orange but it is bright red. The sun was very bright the day I took the pics. The paint is original. I will try to attach 2 other pictures I took that hopefully will give a better representation of the color.
