For sale is a 1978 Fiat 124 Spider, mileage unknown. Engine runs fine, has new plugs/wires/coil and gaskets but the started is dead (another starter is included.) Has new brakes, pads and calipers (mostly not installed, about $300 worth of parts) needs new brake lines and most likely master cylinder rebuild. I had this car drivable (and was driving it) until the starter died. Same old tale of woe, I don't have enough time, don't have a shop (I live in an apartment!) and of course, I don't need it, I just want it. I can't install the new starter since I don't have an engine lift (maybe a gnome could fit his hands in there, but I sure can't...) There is plenty of the infamous fiat body rust, and although it could be restored, it saddens me to say that this car would be better suited to be a donor for a solid frame (maybe you have one?) Exhaust has been replaced from downpipe to muffler. The top is in decent condition, does not leak water but isn't airtight either. Speedo has stopped working, needs a new cable. Tach hasn't worked at all (maybe a bad ground?) Transmission works, 2nd gear synchro is pretty much gone, noisy in neutral with clutch disengaged, kind of noisy in 5th also. All glass is good, no cracks/chips. Interior is decent. Floor is pretty much shot. I have a box or two full of parts for this, too much and too random to really list. If you want parts, let me know, I'll see what I have and in what condition and I can start a separate listing for it. I have done my absolute best to list everything I know about this vehicle, but I'm sure I missed something so please ask questions if you have them. Also, I can take pictures of whatever part you want to see, just let me know. Thank you!
