HERE WE HAVE A; 1969 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS S COUPE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH ALL INTENTIONS OF REFINISHING INTO A 442 CLONE, BUT WITH ALL MY PROJECTS IT JUST KEEPS BEING PUT BACK FURTHER. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN CALIFORNIA ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO, SO BETWEEN HAULING IT BACK TO NEW MEXICO AND THE EXTRA PARTS I BOUGHT FOR IT I HAVE OVER $1,500.00 INTO IT. I AM LOOKING TO GET CLOSE TO WHAT I HAVE INTO IT BACK. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT COME WITH IT ARE; 2 NEW FRONT TIRES, 2 BUCKET SEATS IN THE PICS, ORIGONAL OLDS CONSULE, 2 1/4 WINDOWS FOR THE REAR, NEW TUNE UP KIT ON THE MOTOR. I HAVE STARTED THE CAR A FEW TIMES AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP, SOUNDS GOOD AND HEALTHY. I NEVER DROVE IT DUE TO I REMOVED THE GAS LINES FROM THE FUEL PUMP. THOUGHT I SHOULD CLEAN OUT THE GAS TANK BEFORE RUNNING IT THAT WAY. I DID SHIFT CAR THRU THE GEARS AND IT SEAMED TO CATCH ALL THE GEARS. THE CAR NEEDS RESTORED BUT A GREAT START. MINOR DINGS. NO MAJOR CANCER AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES. THE CAR SEEMS REALLY SOLID THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT IT!!! I BOUGHT IT FROM A STORAGE FACILITY IN CALIFORNIA WHO SAID IT WAS IN STORAGE FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS AS FOR THE MILEAGE I AM UNCERTAIN. BUT FOR A GREAT FATHER & SON PROJECT OR RESTORE PROJECT THIS IS THE ONE. THIS CAR WITH SOME TIME AND REDONE SHOULD BE WORTH BETWEEN 5 TO 10 THOUSAND !!! I SAID IT WAS A 350 ROCKET BUT SOMEONE TOLD ME TO MEASURE THE MANIFOLD BETWEEN THE HEADS AND IF IT IS 12" ITS A 350 ROCKET BUT IF IT IS 14" IT IS A 455 ROCKET... WELL IT MEASURED 14" AND THE ID # ON THE BLOCK ABOVE THE TIMING CHAIN AREA IS 396021F SOMEONE SAID IF IT ENDS IN A LETTER AND NOT # IT IS A BIG BLOCK AND I BELIEVE 3 MEANS OLDSMOBILE AND THE 9 IS THE YEAR 1969 ?
