Vehicle Detail

We're selling my wife's clean unmolested 1966 Mustang C-code from her High School days. She drove this car to high school, after which point, her parents had it freshened up with a new paint job. Nothing else was done to this original car. It has just under 100K original miles and has not been hacked up for drag racing, or any form of competition. I have performed the maintenance on the car in the past 8 yrs including: water pump, timing chain, battery, new dual exhaust, shocks, rear leaf springs, tires, pertronix ignition, new carpet, new shift knob, new clutch/pp/tob, restored original 2 bbl carb (special coating on carb like factory). This car passes Texas safety inspection every year with no issues, and drives fine for a 40+yr old car with 40+yr old technology. It lives in a garage and has not been exposed to the elements in all of the wife's ownership.... over the past 16 years. I was planning to resto-mod this, but could NOT bring myself to change a thing on this very original car. So we'll find a clean modified chassis to resto-mod and leave this survivor for someone who appreciates original FOMOCO engineering. Original fenders have correct date codes, as does the lower valence. Dist, alt bracket, and intake mani have correct date codes. Has original drive train. I performed the 1st clutch change ever in this car a few years ago. ISSUES: 1) There are a couple small paint bubbles on the psgr side, 2) the shifter could use new springs as it shifts like it's 40 yrs old and original (loose but functional). Since this car is a classic we will only sell to buyers who look at the car personally or have their rep inspect the car before putting it on a flat bed. We don't want any misunderstandings. You are not dealing with a dealership or car flipper here. We have owned and loved this automobile and taken care of Prev Main and storage like we do all our personal vehicles. I drive this car to/from work 30 miles each way 1-3 times/month and it performs well for a 40+yr old. It has good power, and the stock drum brakes are adequate. No overheating issues, all gages work, lights work, horn works, has a tape deck stereo, good oil pressure, good amps. Drives straight down the highway. Includes Ford Racing Neon Clock, and Mustang Repair manual in pics. Here is a video of this car made today:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj5dfU-RJDYOn Jan-08-11 at 19:18:45 PST, seller added the following information: Per some recent questions: 1) We will not end the auction early, 2) Original air cleaner comes with car, photo was taken with af off to show engine. On Jan-08-11 at 19:36:01 PST, seller added the following information: 3) We added another photo showing how she looks with late model "bullet" style wheels. Bullet style wheels do NOT come with car in this auction. They can be purchased on-line from just about any mustang supplier. I prefer the stock look, which is why we went back to stock FOMOCO rolling stock. On Jan-09-11 at 18:38:14 PST, seller added the following information: I'm meeting a local bidder Monday Night. Other bidders can view car with appointment. Send your msg through ebay. Thanks all for your interest. On Jan-11-11 at 15:24:26 PST, seller added the following information: Per some more questions: 1) We will not end this auction early, 2) Car has good oil pressure, amps, does not over heat, 3) see attached pic of the paint bubble, and a couple snap shots underneath the car. If you wish to see the car Friday before auction close email through ebay for a viewing time during the day Friday. I'd like to have several view the car at the same time rather than running to/from the parking lot all day. Thanks to all who have taken the time to see the car in person, and hear it run. I cannot stress that there is no substitute to seeing this in person. It clears up all questions when you see/hear the real thing. Best Regards and good luck.
