***FOR SALE***1997 Ford F450 Super Duty This truck was purchased from the United States Govt. Auction in 2008 and I have owned the truck since purchasing it from the auction. I have tallied 8,2xx miles on the truck since I have owned it as it was originally used for our family owned Lawn/Landscaping and Snow Removal company. I had intended to mount a plow on the front and Salter in the bed of the truck, however we sold our entire company our to another company this last summer. When we sold the Lawn Care and Landscaping company the buyer did not want to purchase this truck because it had not yet been painted to match the other trucks and did not have a plow as the other trucks did. Thus we have this one truck as a remnant of the old company and up for sale. This 1997 Ford began its life custom built under contract by the Ford Motor Company as a Fire Fighting Truck for the United States Forrest Service. It was manufactured by Ford and customized to United States Forrest Service specifications. It is a very low mileage truck for it's age, at 97,xxx miles with a clean, clear Utah title in hand. The United States Forrest Service specification called a custom built WARN front end including WARN locking manual hubs, WARN front and rear axle's with Warn differentials and housings. The 4WD shifts smoothly and all aspects of this truck function as they should. It is the original XL model interior with Cold a/c and Hot heat. It has cruise control, 5 speed manual transmission with OD and the big block 7.5 liter 490 Gas Engine. This truck will not win any awards for gas mileage, however it will easily out haul and out tow it's diesel powered counterparts. Truck also has 6 matching Goodyear Workhorse MT tires with 75% tread left. This truck was put on a US Govt. motor pool service plan which included regular fluid, oil and mechanical maintenance every 30-60 days. Since it's purchase from the Govt. auction we have maintained this rigorous service. I would not hesitate to drive this truck cross country today. So bid with confidence.
