Vehicle Detail

1960 IMPALA You are looking at a 1960 Impala bubble top with 20" Billet - Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dog rims. This is a awesome car to take anywhere and get some attention! I decoded the car and it is an original 8 cylinder car built in Norwood, Ohio. This car is equipped with POWER WINDOWS - STEERING - BRAKES!!! It originally was a blue car with with blue interior. Before I bought the car, it was painted red with blue and green metallic in it. It really pops when the light hits it. I recently lowered the car around 3". When that was done I replaced the sway bar links and shocks. I replaced the master cylinder, front pads and power brake booster as well. The engine powering the Impala is a 350 CUI. To my knowledge nothing was done internally to the motor. It has chrome valve covers and a Weiand Intake. The carburetor is a quadra-jet. It has stock exhaust manifolds on it connected to brand new exhaust with nice sounding mufflers on it. The spark plugs and wires were just replaced as well. It does have power steering and brakes which make this car stop and drive like a new machine! The transmission in the car is a turbo 350 causing the speedometer to jump. I was told there is a way to fix it fairly cheap. The car does have a slight oil and tranny leak that I have not had a chance to look at. I believe the tranny just needs a rear seal. The interior has white vinyl seats and door panels. They are in great condition. The dash is painted to match the exterior. The headliners threading is coming apart right above the driver on the seam. It is white to match the rest of the interior. The carpet is in good shape as well and it is red. The steering wheel is a Grant and it has a white outer band. The stainless that is on the glove box lid and along the bottom side of dash is in great shape! All the power windows work. The switches need some attention but the drivers door will control all four windows. All the glass is in great shape for its age. It does have slight windshield wiper marks on the window but very minor. The wipers are not working but the working AM Radio takes place of that problem! It takes about ten seconds to warm up but still works. The stainless on the car is in great shape. There are three pieces that need attention and I have all three replacements for it, just not the clips to hold them on. (around the headlights on the top side of fenders and the passenger side fin piece that goes from trunk to corner of fin) The badges on the trunk and grille show 348 badges. I'm not sure if it is a original 348 car but it could be a very good possibility because of the patina of the emblems. The grille is in great shape. The bumpers could be replaced. The front bumper needs a slight adjustment. It has a couple original T3 headlights in it too! The paint on the car is in my opinion a 7 out of 10. There are some rust bubbles showing up on the rear lower quarter panels and there are three small rust holes in the back of the trunk right below where you plug the tail lamps in. Very minor for the age of the car. The rest of the underside appear to be pretty solid. There is some body filler around the corner of the fender that you can see when you open the hood and look on the lip of the fender. The wheels show a little where but polish up pretty good. Two of the tires will need to be replaced fairly soon. Besides everything listed this car is a great driver and solid car. I try to be as honest as possible when I describe this car! If you want a perfect car then keep looking. If you want a great driver that needs very minimal work to take it to the next level or just wants to drive it for a while and get your money back out if it....then bid away! If you have any questions about the car don't hesitate to shoot me an email as I will respond as soon as I get it! I encourage ANY body that likes the car to come check it out in person or hire a inspector as I have it for sale locally as well! I do not want any trades but you can send me pictures if you think you can convince me otherwise! I have tried to include any pictures you might want below. Thanks!
