Vehicle Detail

Only 34,000 original miles. All original body and interior. Not a show car. A survivor in that it isn't modified and is completely turn key. It hasn't always been garaged and has paint issues but very little rust (the worst is on the front edge of the hood), the body, floor, trunk are dry and solid. It has the Continental 161 cubic inch flathead six engine with three speed column shift trans and overdrive. The overdrive is not currently working....we've not looked into the reasons why. The car starts, runs and drives smoothly and has permanent Washington registry. It has only been driven rarely in recent years. I drove it on a "road trip" last week of about 60 miles and it performed fine....it does however need the overdrive for highway driving. It should get 25+ mpg highway with the overdrive. It's quiet and smooth in all conditions. I had a 41 Willys Americar sedan once and blindfolded a person would have a hard time telling the two apart. Fairly primative but user friendly in most respects. The charging, cooling and suspension systems are are working fine and outside of the overdrive I would say it's roadable. It you are out of the area and buy, you'd be wise to trailer it home or arrange shipping. Other things that will need some attention are the wipers (they don't make a full sweep of the windshield), the radio, the gas gauge and the licence plate light. The Good: There are reciepts for $3576.86 in recent parts alone and hundreds of hours spent on rebuilding the following.....New Brakes, including stainless steel sleeves in wheel and master cyls, new shoes and small parts kits, new lines and hoses, newly turned drums, New fuel system, gas tank taken out and refurbished, new fuel pump, new carburator, new generator, battery and complete exhuast system, new shock absorbers. Also set of four new wide whitewall tires. The driver's seat in somewhat broken down but the door panels, headliner, etc. show the milage to be correct. The weather has surely taken it's toll on some of the material. This is not, like I say, a show car. The driver's side door window is cracked. The doors open and shut nicely and lock up. It is clean and not leaking any fluids. There are a few spare parts that will go with it along with some literature and the reciepts, ect. Any questions can be emailed or better call Jeff at 425 308-2285 before 10 pacific.
