Up for auction today is a 1988 GSXR 1100, Painted in 1987 colors. As you can see this bike has had a lot of work done to it. First the body work.The front fairing is from a 1990 GSXR. The upper is an airtec enderance fairing.This newer fairing gives the bike a verry diffrent look. Kind of like an old GP bike. Fresh paint and lots of clear. Unfortunatly the fuel tank hasnt been repainted at this point. The seat and butt pad are new old stock. Their perfect. The front end on this bike is from a 1996 GSXR 750. The forks have new seals and fresh oil. Black 6 piston calapers up front change the look and work better than stock.On the rear is a 1995 GSXR 1100 rim . With matching black calaper. Both front and rear rims have new Michelin pilot sport radials. Front is 120/70/zr17, The rear is 180/55/zr17. Both rims have fresh black powder coat. Now to the motor, A wiesco 78mm big bore kit is installed. The cylinder head has been ported and polished. The carburators are a set of Mukuni 44mm machanical flat slides with push pull cables. There is also a new Dyna 2000 ignition with the green dyna coils. Theres a 1990 curved oil cooler installed for better coolling. the clutch is a lock up type drag clutch. Last but not least a D+D carbon exhuast. Also braided clutch and break lines by Gaffer. Now for the bad. theres a dent in the fuel tank on the left side. A small bit of rash on right upper fairing. Theres no speedo or tack. it also needs a new out put shaft seal. This bike is a real bullit. Ive put over 6 grand in this bike. I dont want to sell it , but i need the money. My loss your gain.
