This auction is for my 1949 Ford truck series F1 'Rat Rod'. The cab is in very decent condition for being 62 years old. Details: Truck sits on a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo frame and has 350 Chevy Power with a quadrajet 4 barrel carb, headers, and a turbo 350 Chevy automatic transmission. The rear end is a 10 bolt from a 71 Chevelle. It is the 8.5 inch ring gear version. The suspension and brakes are also Monte Carlo. Power disc in the front, drums in the rear. The front suspension has been lowered 3 inches. The rear is stock Monte Carlo height. The front has new shocks, and new sway bar bushings. The battery is new and is mounted behind the cab. The steering column is a Chevelle tilt. All of the lights work - brake lights, headlights, & turn signals. The speedometer works but is not 100% accurate (but it is close.) This is a very cool ride and I get a lot of positive comments about it. This has been converted into a Rat Rod with consideration of it being turned back into a normal 1949 Ford Truck due to the condition of the cab. The cab was in good enough condition that I did not want to butcher it so this is what I ended up with. I have a modest reserve on this truck. I have more in it than what the reserve is. The hard work has been done on this one. What is left to be done? ...Glass work - driver's door & passenger vent windows, some brake work, carb work or replacement, wipers, some floor and firewall work, and a rear bed. Note that I have the fuel cell temporarily mounted. It was my plans to secure it to the inside of a homemade bed, but I will not be able to complete this project. You cannot build one like this for the reserve price. Buy it as is and have some fun. No title - a bill of sale will be issued upon payment. The State of Georgia does not require a title on vehicles this old (actually, Georgia did not start issuing titles until 1963.)
