I am offering this STUNNING AND GORGEOUS early 1973 Mercedes 450 SL masterpiece that has been in my family for many years as part of a Mercedes car collection.The car has been kept in the garage and stored for many years .The car was just recently serviced and is in great running and driving condition.The car only has 48,174 actual miles (extremely low miles for a vintage SL).Books and records are included.The car was always from dry California with absolutely no rust anywhere.The car is completely stock and original.This is the most sought after 450 SL model.1973 was the first introduction to the 450 SL name badge and now came standard with the most popular and respected 4.5 litre fuel injected V-8 engine.The 1972 and 1973 were the only years that came with the classic small chrome bumpers and stainless steel matching hubcaps.The new 450 SL design was so popular the body design was kept from 1972-1989 with very little changes.This is definitely a low mile survivor that was kept in gorgeous condition.The very rare and beautiful metallic red paint is spectacular and in prisitne condition.This is the original and extremely rare color and is called metallic red and is the correct code number 571.There are virtually no paint issues like scratches or dings.The doors,trunk,and hood all close perfectly.The body is factory straight and has no sun damage anywhere.Numbers matching car with no previous accident history.No accident history of any kind.It is definitely a crowd pleaser and gets attention everywhere you go.Driving this car down the street is such a pleasure.The car runs and drives like a dream.The car come with alot of luxury goodies like cold factory air conditioning and power windows.It,of course,came standard with power steering and power disc brakes.The car has both the original hardtop and softtop.This makes it great for any type of weather for driving with comfort and convenience.The black canvas softtop is like new and has clear back windows.The hardtop is also in excellent shape.The tires are fairly new.The gorgeous black text interior is spotless.The original bamboo seats are unmarked and unblemished and the seat pads are still firm and non saggy.The carpets are beautiful and factory correct.Very nice original dash pad.The trunk is totally original and has never had any rust(I know this area is very succeptible to rust).It does have the original tool kit and spare tire and the original rubber mat.The spare tire holder and battery tray area are in perfect original shape with no holes or rust.The car is in amazing condition both cosmetically and mechanically.No work is needed to drive this car to your nearest show or special event.This 37 year old gem are becoming hard to come across,especially the first year 450 SL.It would be hard pressed to find a nicer one in this age group.This is the collectible one and would make a great addition to anyone who want a fantastic low mile Mercedes convertible that will always be a timeless classic.Would love to see this go to a good new home.I think it would make a great addition to a fine collection or just someone who wants a very nice old and reliable SL to show off in.This is part of my family classic car collection that I am offering at No Reserve!
