Vehicle Detail

This is a 1970 Amc Rebel Machine that has been garaged kept for the past 40 years and rarely drivin. I purchased this car from the second owner who had it for 7 years and drove it 600 miles in 7 years. He had purchased the car from the original owners wife after the original owner passed away. This car was a second car for the original owners, the husband loved the car and kept it in the garage on blocks and would start every few weeks to keep everything in good running shape. The only things that are not original to the car from the factory are the following..The bf goodrich tires the second owner put on 6 years ago, ( I do have the 4 polyglas original tires in great shape lots of tread that will go with the car), a fm converter that works and was added years ago, the battery, I think the spark plugs were changed but the original wires are still on the car, and thats all I can see that were changed. This is a rare chance to own a car that is so original, the factory exhaust sounds nice and are date coded to show they are original. The paint is 100% the factory paint, I have not cleaned the car at all and know that it would look even better once waxed and detailed. The interior is spotless, the seats, carpets are perfect, dont think anyone ever sat in the back seat. All lights work, the door buzzer works, all gauges work like they should. The factory hood tach works and lights up as it should. The car is a factory ac car and it works. The 4spd trans shifts perfectly and the car has the factory 3.54 posi rear. I have owned alot of classic cars in my past, mainly mopars and NEVER had a car that drove so new and has no rattles or noises at all. I just know I like to drive my cars and this car really should be put into a collection and not drivin much to keep the miles down. I do not need to sell it, but would rather have this car go to a real collector who can show it off as a true Piece of AMC History. I have alot of paper work to the car, the original window sticker, owners manual, warranty card, buyers order from the dealer, consumer information book on the car that shows the stopping distance, accelration-passing for this car, 1st owners insurance card from 1972. This is a chance really to own a piece of classic car history. I will post the pictures I have of the car, any questions just ask. The only things I feel it may need is, there are some rock chips that could be touched up, the roof has a few spots of the paint missing, the size of a dime in 2 spots from the garage it was in must have leaked and a few small other spots on the roof..These could be a easy fix to touch up and keep the car all original, I did not do anything with them. The is a door ding on the passenger door that was there when the original owner purchased the car, and I was told this is why he got a discount on the car when he bought it, he paid $2,750 plus taxs on May 13th of 1971. All factory decals, stickers and dealer stickers are on the car and are perfect. The spare tire is all there and is perfect never used, the jack looks new never used. Again, questions just ask..Good Luck, I will only list the car once and then will store it if it doesn't sell. Motor, Trans, rear all 100% stock just like it left the factory. It has the correct intake, exhaust manifolds, carb, and so on. There were 1936 Rebel Machines built, the 1st 1,000 or so were red white and blue and after that the next 936 were able to be purchased in 14 different colors amc offered. This car is hialeah yellow a rare color for a Rebel Machine. The title shows the miles on it, there is a small payoff through my credit union that I will need to payoff. Check my feed back, I have sold alot of cars in the past, some 40-50,000 dollor vehicles with never having a issue..So to drag on, this car is by far and away the best I ever had.
