1998 Honda XR 70 The Honda XR 70, no longer in production, was and remains the most popular choice amongst beginner and younger dirt bike enthusiasts. The XR series are not street legal, since they lack blinkers and other highway safety features; as such they're suitable only for use off-road. The XR series of dirt bikes has been replaced by the CRF series. PerformanceThe engine in the Honda XR 70 is a 70cc air-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke with a single overhead camshaft. Reliable, 3 speed ,semi auto, just foot shift through gears, no clutching. Great for beginners. ConditionThis bike was last operating over the summer. My kid has outgrown it so we are selling. Just went out on x-mas day in garage to take a picture and look it over. The tires were a little low from non-use but the engine started right up. Didn't want to run it for any length of time since the gas is now 5 months old. I would advise a tune-up and oil change to keep up it's nice running condition. Shipping I will crate this bike and make it freight ready in a solid crate for an additional $85 dollars which will cover 1/2 inch plywood, 2x4's, screws, protective material etc and maybe a few bucks left over for a beer when I'm done. Also, a big bonus for anyone who wins this auction along the eastern sea board - I will be traveling to Florida within the next 60 days and can deliver to any location along I-95 between New Jersey and Lorton Va, and then from Sanford Florida to South Florida. My truck will be on the auto train between Va and Sanford FL. I will charge the same $85 for delivery instead of actual crating since it won't need to be crated. The $85 will help with the gas and auto train ticket. This will work out cheaper because there will be no extra freight charge as opposed to paying for a crate and freight. Email for more details.
