Today i am listing this gorgeous Mercedes 300CD with only 107k miles on it . This is truly a rare find , as this car is 27 years old and has only been driven an average of 4000 miles per year . There have only been 2 owners since 1983 with the first owner keeping it until 2009. It was finished in "Sand Beige" (MB color code 444) with Palomino color MB-Tex interior . I have not seen another one in this color .  The body is in great condition , as you can see in the pictures . It is totally straight and there are no dings or dents . It is a original California car and has spent the last couple of years garaged in the dry Nevada climate .  The interior is very nice as well . There are no rips or tears in the seats and it looks more like a 2 year old car than an antique . The car has been garaged most of it's life and it shows .  The original radio was replaced by a satellite radio system (sirius radio) , but i also still have the original radio as well. All the windows, sunroof and gauges work the way they are supposed to . The best thing about this 300CDT is the way it drives . In 1982 Mercedes started adding a turbo charger to the 5 cylinder diesel engine . This engine , already known for it's longevity and reliability, now also had enough power . These cars are not slow at all . On a recent 500 mile trip i was cruising with 85 mph for several hours and i was still averaging 30 miles per gallon of diesel . There are not many good-looking , elegant classic cars out there today that you can really drive every day . This car would make a great every day driver or an excellent practical investment . It would also be the perfect candidate for a Bio diesel conversion . This way you could drive on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants . I have never tried it , but with gas prices where they are today , it sounds like a tempting idea .  I would really like to sell this car to somebody local , who could actually come out and see it , but i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up . This is a 27 year old car in great condition and it will be sold without a warranty '' as is" and ''where is'' .
