To commemorate the 25th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, Triumph created a special edition of the T140 Bonneville. Distincly painted silver with red,white and blue trim, the Jubilee Bonnevile was to be made in a "limited edition" of 1000. The side badges boasted "One of a Thousand". Demand was suffient enough for the factory to build another batch of 100 T140Js with the badges altered "Limited Edition". The Jubilee applealed to collectors who wanted a machine as much as an ornament for riding, or as a sentimental souvenier of a British motorcycle industry which in 1977 looked ready for extinction. Engine numbers followed the same sequence as standard T105V models but with a J suffix instead of V. Offered here is a "One of a Thousand" Silver Jubilee bike with matching fame and engine numbers. The bike has held up very nicely over the years and is a runner. Its starts easily and drives very nicely. The body and paint are all correct and it is physically fresh.
