Vehicle Detail
Your bidding on a 1979 Jeep Cherokee Chief that I have personally rebuilt as a project car. It has a new AMC 360 V-8 motor with the following features: Bored 40 over, heads have been milled .10, drilled and tapped for individual studs, Compcam roller tip rockers, Isky valve guides, Compcam springs, new keepers, 202-160 valves,292H- Compcam ,this cam operates between 2000-6500 RPMs,if you want an every day driver you mite want to install a milder cam something from idol to 4500 RPMs, 750 Eddlebrock carb, Eddlebrock air gap intake manifold, MSD ignition system, Mallory Pro Sidewinder 8mm ignition wires, Headman headers with flowmaster mufflers. This a very strong-running motor. Tranny is a TH-400, completely rebuilt, with all heavy duty parts. This tranny is bullet-proof, I have put over $2k into the tranny alone. Front and rear Dana 44's w/ 354 gears. This was originally a quad-track truck which I removed the quad-track transfer case and replaced it with a Dana 20. The quad trak used a offset pumpkin, the dana 20 uses a center pumpkin, this truck still has the off set rear in it,I was going to put a GM corperate 14 bolt and a dana 60 front, Torque converter is a new GM-8, which is a 2000 stall. 20-gallon Summit fuel cell, with a Holly red fuel pump and filter, with AN fittings and braided fuel line. The interior is in fair condition, but it needs some more work such as a headliner and new carpet. I just don't have time to work on it any longer so now that the motor/tranny is finished to make it driveable I'm reluctantly parting with it. To the best of my knowledge all the glass is factory original. The body is in excellent condition for a '79... no bondo nor fiberglass, and the body is essentially rust free. This is a GREAT truck for someone who has the time give it some TLC and put the finishing touches on the major work I have already completed.Vehicle has a CLEAR TITLE (not salvage).
