A very Merry Christmas Corvette. 1980 Chevy CORVETTE. Classic American Muscle Car styling. As beautiful to look at as it is fun to drive!! Here is a nice example of this model with a lot of goodies. Chevy 350 V8 engines runs strong, and sounds good with original 4 speed manual transmission. Body lines are clean and straight. Flame Red paint was re-painted several years ago and had some modifications at that time. Side exhaust pipes were done, as was the rear axel area. Tail light lenses were changed as well. Engine has an almost complete Chrome kit that is still in good shape and looks nice. Wiper arms are also chrome. Custom made polished Aluminum Wiper cover with "Red Hot" logo cut out. Under the hood was re-painted in a high heat/high gloss Black paint. Performance intake. Engine was also powerwashed, so it's clean. After-market two tone Alloy wheels with center knock offs (spin offs). Center corvette emblems are new. Glass/mirror T-tops. All glass is intact with no chips or cracks. INTERIOR: Original Red exterior/Red interior combo. No cracks on dash or console area. Door panels are complete and in nice shape with only a few nicks. Bucket seats were re-upholstered in Flame red vinyl, NEW Corvette carpet kit (cut pile), installed in both front and rear, with back of seat area as well. Wood inserts for rear compartment covers, lower console, upper console, and main gauge cluster. Still very nice with some nicks and minor varnish cracking. ALPINE Detachable CD player (with remote), is the "hide-a-way" type where the front face plate slides down and out to access CD slot. (very cool feature.) NOTE* This Corvette came with a custom built Red fabric/carpet speaker box with 2 five inch speaker and 2 ten inch speakers (I will add a photo of this tomorrow), which fits in the back snugly; in addition; another 2 ten inch speakers that were installed behind the seats, ALSO, a 400 watt power amp is included, along with an older KENWOOD crossover installed in the glove box. All these items will be included with the car. Headlights work and do go up and down, but driver's side takes its time doing both. Signal lights and brake lights work well. Interior lights also work well as does the wipers. Window gears, locks and door handles were all oiled and work really nice, windows go up and down fast. Chrome shift knob is new. The rear window has a removable "Tint shield" on the inside. It's the first time I've ever encountered one. So if you want the tint, it's there, if not, just simply remove the shield, it's shaped out of thin plexiglass to fit the exact window. FLAWS: AC and heater controls are not working, nor is rear defogger. I'm guessing things have been disconnected along the way. Emergency brake handle has the usual crack in the plastic handle. Pas. door's interior handle has a repair kit and works well. power door locks are not working. Power antenna needs to be replaced. Car had a Red front lower racing spoiler that was a little damaged and very low to the ground, so I removed it but I could re-install it to include with the car. Front nose had the usual "someone backed up into me" damage and was repaired but paint is slightly darker, hard to see in the photos. There are some paint chips and paint cracking throughout the body. Usual pebble chip damage in front area. There's some paint flaw/bubbling by the driver's exterior door handle. Driver's side exhaust is missing the back part of the chrome cover (I can't seem to find it). One corner of the T-top (pas. side) has a small crack. Interior dome cover is missing. Some of the weather stripping is dried out. This vehicle is RUST FREE, but there was a spot on the driver's floor that was rubber coated. Does not have the spare or spare cover. Registration is Feb. 2010, and the DMV fees are $75 to bring current to 2011 (this only applies to CA residents) Clean title. This is a two owner car. I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, and any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels". Car was bought at a Benefit sale and title is in the name of the donor , But it's signed by them, and I have the bill of sales that go with it.
