This great 2 Owner car originated in Southern California until recently arriving to Kansas in 2003. The first owner sold it to his brother in Kansas in 2003 and his brother traded it in on a new car. That is how it came to me 7 years ago. I have thoroughly enjoyed it since. I have kept only one car as long as this one in my life! This car has been very trouble free and it runs great. While not perfect, it does look very good for it's age and much better than most I have seen, even some with fewer miles. I tried to highlight it's imperfections in my pictures. Here is a rundown of some imperfections...The cruise control does not work and has not since I bought the car. The door moulding on the passenger side front door has an impression in it that I took a picture of but the door is not affected. The M sport badges on two of the seats are broken in two. The radio volume knob needs new contacts. It makes a "scratchy" sound through the speakers and causes one channel to cut out unless the volume knob is in just the right position. This original factory radio and cassette does work well otherwise. The tires are less than 40% but would consider putting on new tires if the offer is right. Some stone chipping on nose and front bumper, but pretty minimal considering age. The carpet in the trunk has a worn spot about 7 inches or so in diameter. The dash as illustrated in the pictures has several splits in it as typical. The trim piece on one of the rear door ashtrays is missing as you will also note in the pictures. Now the good stuff. The engine runs extremely well and uses no oil between changes. The transmission shifts both up and down perfectly and the syncros all work perfectly. The last BMW mechanic that changed the oil made a point to comment to me how good the motor sounded. The struts and shocks are still the original and are starting to show there age but the self leveling system is still intact and works as it should. That can be a rarity in these cars. A set of Bilsteins would be a good addition but the originality appealed to me and the car still handles very well. I did update the wheels as you can see in the pictures. I put a set of 17 inch wheels that I think complement the car nicely but I do still have the original 5 wheels including the spare that will go with the car. The car has zero rust and has always been rust free. The undercarriage looks great as well. The paint is very glossy and is free of scratches or dings except for some stone chipping on the nose of the car. The air conditioning works great and has been converted to 134A. One other thing I find interesting about this car is that it still retains its original windshield! How many 20+ yr old vehicles can boast that! The leather and carpets as you can see in the pictures are still in terrific shape and need nothing. The pinstipes were painted by a very famous pinstriper here locally and include the 3 M-Sport colors. It really complements the car. I recently serviced all fluids in the car including the Transmission and rear Differential oil. As I mentioned, the car is not perfect and I have tried my best to highlight for you the positives and negatives about the car. It is truely one of the best car buys that I can think of for an enthusiast. Every time you drive this car it puts a big smile on your face and it gets alot of attention. The performance is still very impressive even by modern car standards. When this car was introduced, it was the world's fastest production sedan!
