For your consideration is my beautiful 1999 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas that has been well cared after. This is an outstanding daily driver with all of the modern equipment you would expect - and then some! This particular automobile has the distinction of being not only fastidiously maintained but has been driven an average of only 9,000 miles per year. This is a great driving Vanden Plas that has lots of life left. The miles are traceable via the Carfax report. Please look at the pictures. What sets this car apart from other you might consider is the smooth, powerful engine, clean interior, and of course the extensive service history. The car is simply well-sorted and a pleasure to own and drive. Check out the backseat tray tables! The car is finished in an usual and very attractive Amaranth paint (eggplant color) with coordinating ivory leather interior and Burl Walnut wood trim throughout. The condition of the paint is decent but does show some minor wear including a small nick on the bottom of the driver's passenger door (this is the accident listed with absolutely no structural damage incurred). The tires are matching Pirelli P4000's on the beautiful factory alloys. The seats are firm with no sagging. The air conditioning system provides cold air on demand and the heating system works great. The burl wood trim is exquisite save for a few minor blemishes and cracks. The headliner has just been replaced. The electrical accessories are all fully functional. In terms of mechanical condition, the car is an excellent, no smoking vehicle that runs very nicely, the faster the better! The car tracks straight down the road and can cruise effortlessly at 80-85 mph all day long. It runs smoothly and has no known issues. This car has an after-market Heat Shield Cold Air Intake provided by the Mina Gallery (a very well-regarded Jaguar performance shop). The transmission shifts very smoothly as well. I just replaced the fuel pump last week and I have a detailed spreadsheet of all maintenance performed on the car throughout its life that is available via email on request. The timing belt and all tensioners were recently changed from the original with the more sturdy, Jaguar recommended replacements. The oil was changed last week with the brakes inspected and are fine. The car comes with two master keys as well as the factory tool kit, jack, and new full size spare tire. It has a current Maryland State safety inspection. Furthermore, the city mileage is roughly 14 mpg and a surprising 25 mpg on the highway (mostly due to the intake). I'm moving on to my next car, and now this one needs a new home, although anyone who inspects the paperwork will clearly recognize the benefit of my short attention-span!! Keep in mind that this is not a new vehicle and that it is sold as-is, where-is with no warrantees implied, stated, or otherwise intended.
