For Sale: 1988 BMW M5 (E28) Black with tan interior -- Used -- 222974 miles The car runs and drives very well. The body and original paint are both in good condition. Regular maintenance has been performed on the car for its entire history (it's a 2 owner car). That said, has a few minor flaws. The driver's seat leather (like many other daily-driven M5's of this particular type) is worn and cracked on the left side of the seat. The seat itself is still comfortable and in fine working order. The center console is missing the cigarette lighter. The A/C does not work, although a recharge of refrigerant may fix this problem. The headlights do not work (fuse?), and the right rear window does not roll down (fuse?). I relocated to another part of the country, which caused the recent lapse in maintenance. Despite this, the car has been regularly cranked up and driven by my parents, and is located in Columbia, SC. It has aftermarket wheels (see pictures), a custom exhaust system, a short shift kit, a Kenwood (aftermarket) cd player, and a set of well-worn Yokohama AVS ES100 tires. With a small amount of attention, the car can return to being a daily driver. It is both reliable and enjoyable to drive.
