Inventory # 8989 Location: Key Largo, FL General Description: This 1980 51' Morgan Out Island 512 Sailboat was partially flooded with salt water when the AC raw water pump sprang a leak due to a corroded fitting. Water rose to approximately 6” above sole. Transmission was submerged. The engine and generator were sprayed with salt water. The fiberglass hull is in fair condition with chalky gelcoat. FRP cracks transom (3) approximately 6” in length to starboard. FRP possible delamination approximately 14” in length center cockpit to port. FRP/wood possible delamination Foredeck area aft of windlass including forward starboard cleat area. Cruisair A/C is in poor condition with 115 volt pump evidence of water contamination. Two 8D batteries sighted at time of inspection, but not tested. Forward battery found with corrosion on terminals and engine room battery found in good condition. Fresh water washdown is in poor condition, not tested. Raw water washdown is in poor condition, not tested. Water heater was in fair condition but unable to test due to lack of available fresh water at time of inspection. Two bilge pumps with float switch did not power up when tested, float switch did not operate properly when tested. Exterior carpet is in poor condition, stained. Small Coleman ice chest is in fair condition. All port lights found in good condition. Exterior: Ideal windlass is in good condition and powered up properly when tested. Cockpit isinglass is in fair condition. Stainless steel and teak swim ladder is in fair condition. Lifelines & stanchions are in poor to fair condition with a few stanchions cracked and most loose. Sails: Mainsail, Genoa Sail, Headsail, Foresail in fair condition. Main, Jib, Mizzen did not unfurl but fair condition where sighted. Aluminum main/mizzen is in fair condition. Some paint missing near gooseneck fittings. Electronics include Raytheon Radar, Horizon VHF, Robertson Autopilot. Radar and VHF powered up properly, Robertson Autopilot was not tested. Faria brand gauges and controls in poor to fair condition, not tested. Barient winches are in fair condition but not sea trial tested. Rolling Furling in fair condition but make unknown. Boom Aluminum Main/Mizzen is in fair condition. Aluminum toe rail is in good condition. Cockpit is in fair condition with possible FRP delamination approximately 14” to port. Hynautic Hydraulic steering with bronze tiller is in fair condition. Wheel & binnacle in fair condition, wheel is slightly loose. Gunwale is in fair condition. Deck is in fair to poor condition with FRP/wood possible delamination foredeck area aft of windlass including forward starboard cleat area. Dinghy davits were not tested but appeared to be in fair condition for age. NOTE: dinghy in pictures does not go with this vessel. Interior: Center Cockpit companionway open into salon with galley to port and nav station with bench seating and fold down table to starboard. Upholstery is in fair condition for age, slightly stained. Vinyl headliner is in good condition. All cabin carpet removed. Large L-shaped settee to port with starboard settee opposite. Galley: Galley has double stainless steel sink and Icerite icemaker in poor condition Summit refrigerator/freezer powered up but did not produce cold temperature Propane gimbaled stove and oven was not tested due to lack of available propane. Staterooms: Guest stateroom forward with over-under berths head entry with manual toilet that operated properly and separate shower opposite hanging locker and drawers. Aft is master stateroom with queen berth mirrored lockers above berth hanging lockers, and drawers Master head is to port with manual toilet that operated properly, tub and shower. Generator: Northern Lights Model M843-12N generator has 1066.2 hours. Generator reported not submerged but sprayed with salt water. Reported no water in the oil. Gen was not pickled nor tested; condition unknown. Engine: Single Perkins 130HP Model 6-354 diesel inboard engine. Engine reported not submerged but sprayed with salt water. Reported no water in oil. Engine was not pickled or tested; condition unknown. Transmission was not preserved or tested; condition unknown. Corrosion reported at exterior casing, engine coupler, most cooling fittings. Inspection of items, errors in description The winning bidder ("buyer") is allowed an inspection period to verify that the item substantially complies with the published description. A buyer who has inspected an item prior to final bid shall be deemed to have accepted the condition of the item at the time of the inspection but may reserve inspection following close of the auction only as to any changes in the item between the time of the initial inspection and a subsequent inspection made within the time for voiding the sale as set forth herein. The time period for voiding the sale and giving notice to USauctions of such ends the earlier of the time buyer ships or otherwise takes possession of the item, 24 hours following actual inspection of the item or 10 days following close of the auction. Buyer assumes risk of loss of the item as of the earlier of the time buyer's right to void the sale terminates or the time buyer acquires insurance on the vessel. In the event Buyer fails to remove items in a timely manner, daily storage fees may be charged at the sales location and/or the items may be removed and stored at buyer's risk and expense. Delivery of title For titled items, delivery of free and clear title shall be the responsibility of the owner of the item. General processing time of titles is 4 to 6 weeks. In the event the item owner fails to deliver free and clear title to buyer in a timely manner, Buyer shall have the option of voiding the sale or of seeking specific performance directly against the item owner. USauctions shall have no liability to buyer or the item owner for failure to deliver free and clear title to buyer beyond refund of funds collected by USauctions to the parties entitled thereto, upon return of the item in substantially the condition sold.
