Up for auction is a 1981 Volvo 244DL with only 88,370 miles on it. This car is in fantastic condition for its age. The car is all original as far as the body and interior are concerned. Regular maintenance has been performed on this vehicle. The interior is as good as it looks in the pictures. The paint is in great shape. There are scratches in the paint, however, it is shiny and in very good overall condition. This car has only a couple of dings in the entire body. There is a small ding/dent in the lower front corner of the driver's door and a small ding in the passenger side front fender. The paint is all original with the exception of a repair that has been made on the trunk lid many years ago. It isn't a perfect match and can be seen in the auction pictures. This car runs and drives excellent. It starts instantly and is ready to go. The engine is a B21F, fuel injected four cylinder gas engine. The transmission is a Borg Warner 35 3 speed automatic. This vehicle has 4 wheel disc brakes. Mechanically, this car is in good condition. The tires have plenty of tread left and are very evenly worn. The brakes are in good shape and stop the car straight and smooth. The oil and filter have just been changed. The timing belt will be changed before the winning bidder picks up this vehicle. There is no radio in this car. It had an aftermarket stereo in it at one time. The harness is still in the car. Installing another stereo will be a simple task. There are a few stress cracks in the dash. These are typical with the Volvo 240 series. A deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The balance in full must be paid within 7 days of the end of the auction. The vehicle may remain here at Classic Corral for 15 days after the conclusion of the auction. After 15 days, a storage fee of $10 per day will be charged to the buyer. We are located near Eugene, OR. If a potential buyer would like to fly in to Eugene to pick up this 240 and drive it home, I am willing to pick them up at the airport.
