Quality Motors is proud to offer this beautifully restored 1953 Willys Overland M38A1 Military Jeep. The vehicle was taken in on trade from the party that performed the cosmetic restoration and it is currently offered for sale locally on our showroom. It has the original 2.2L / 134.2 cid F-head 4 cylinder engine with a Warner T-90 3-speed manual transmission and a Spicer 18 transfer case - These components are in there original state and are working fine, therefore they were not removed and restored. The solid body was completely disassembled and stripped to bare metal. It was sealed and primed and finished in the original semi-gloss drab green. All the original numbers and markings were correctly painted back in the exact locations. The body is exceptionally solid and very straight (It was a Civil Service unit and was not subjected to much abuse). All the canvas has been correctly restored/replaced using a kit from Beechcraft, the original Military manufacturer. The Jeep includes the ax and underhood shovel and as well as tool bag and all documentation, brochures & manuals. The wheels have been restored and have new Military tires (including spare).
