Offered here for sale is a beautifully restored 1966 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Clone with 64,096 original miles. The car features the original numbers matching 289 V8 engine and C4 automatic transmission and is pristine inside and out. This Mustang was traded to us by our best customer and good friend and has been lovingly restored from the ground up. We have receipts for the majority of the restoration as well as a photo album detailing the car's transmformation. The vehicle was built and originally owned in New Jersey and came to PA in 1998 when our customer bought the vehicle privately and began the almost seven year task of bringing the car up to the magnificent condition it is in today. The GT badging and stripes were added as well as the dual exhaust through the rear valance. There truly has been too much done to this vehicle to list but I will give a brief description of the major highlights. Please feel free to call me with any questions. The Mustang is truly a joy to drive and is a factory power steering car. You will love the car for cruise nights and shows and it has been a perfect centerpiece in our showroom over the past few months. Paint: The car was completely stripped and repainted in 1966 Signalflare Red with all of the edging completed while the car was apart. The paint was carried over to the interior metal and looks fantastic with the black door cards and interior. Other than skim coat there is no filler on the car. Completely new lights, bezels, mouldings, stripes and badging. We have the receipts for the parts from CJ Pony Parts. Rechromed front and rear bumpers. Engine: The original 289 with some nice modern performance upgrades including; Weiand Intake Manifold, Holley Carb, MSD High Performance Ignition, Flexolite Cooling Fan, Ford Racing Chrome Valve Covers, Ford Racing Oil Pan, Billet Aluminum Pulleys, Chrome Air Cleaner (original included). Engine runs perfectly, does not smoke and has left maybe a drop of oil on our showroom floor over the past four months. Transmission: Original C4 automatic completely rebuilt by Transmissions By Arbogast in Sinking Spring PA. Shifts beautifully with absolutely no issues. We have the receipt for the rebuild. Interior: Completely restored interior with new seats, carpets, and door cards. The original handles, arm rests etc. were used. The metal work on the interior was painted with the same red as the body while the car was apart and is perfect with the black interior. The original gauges, dash and handles for the lights, wipers, vents, etc. were used. The steering wheel was replaced with a newer wooden Mustang wheel. We have the full listing of new parts used on the receipts from CJ Pony Parts. Top: New black vinyl soft top. The top is a manual top and is in perfect working order and can be raised or lowered in a matter of minutes. There is a new boot over with snaps to neatly stow the top while down. Wheels and Tires: Four new American Racing Outlaw II Wheels with Uniroyal Tiger Paw P205/75/R14 Tires. The wheels and tires have mayber 2,000 miles on them and were purchased through our dealership by the previous owner. Again, I do not want to wear you out with every detail and part that was replaced on the car. I have a wealth of receipts and pictures and will do my best to answer any questions.
