!972 Trans Am. Condition of car is un restored original, drivable condition. This car has been maintained as a regular driver since new. It has had a new paint job twenty years ago, as well as an engine rebuild. In the past five years all fluids have been changed as well as, brakes, exhaust, body mounts, shocks. More resent work to car consists of tire, and regular fluid changes and tune ups. This car is driven weekly and will be able to be driven cross country if the winning bidder wishes to drive her home. Original body work that was done twenty years ago. Drivers side quater skin, patch in trunk, and a patch on passenger quater. Then it was painted with single stage paint and re-stripped with decals. The car Now is showing its age, a little fading paint, road chips and a few bubbles are appearing in a number of areas on the car. All body panels are still in very solid condition. The floors, quater extensions, trunk floor and all of the underneath is in solid condition. Engine. The rebuild consists of new pistons on 1973 SD rods that are bushed to full floating. The main is studded, new bearings were installed. The heads were done over. Roller tip rockers. The Cam is a little bigger than stock. The block is not original, but do have a correct date coded block available for purchase. If I get a decent price for car I will through it in. The trans mission is the original M-22 rock crusher The rear is original. All five rims are original No options were deleted from car in the cars life. The only option that was added was an AM-FM to replace the AM. I still have the original AM that will go with car. Please do your research before bidding, or contact me with any questions you have. The block in car is a 1973 or 1974 455. ALSO included with car is a 1972 block that has all the correct casting and date codes. It has never been bored out. All three engines go with car. Carburetor is not numbers matching. Starter is not numbers matching. All of the correct 455HO hardware, heads 7F6, intake, exhaust manifolds are on car. As fare as I can tell, the distributor is numbers matching. The transmission and rear axle are numbers matching. Other than engine internals, there are NO other modifications done on this car, and never has been modifided in the past. The car is all correct as fare as I can tell.
