I purchased this 82 Trans Am from a relative last winter in hopes of having the time to start restoring it. It's was sitting in his garage for at least 10 years after it quit running on him. I gave it an oil change and tinkered around with it for a weekend and got it running - enough to rive onto a trailer. It still would need all the fluid changed and the brakes bleed before I'd take it too far. I kept it in my garage all summer and now find myself short on space as I have an 89 GTA I'm working on this winter instead so I had to put the 82 TA outside. I'm not going to have time to do anything with it for awhile and would hate to see it sit outside and rot so it's time to see if anyone else is interested. I don't know that much about this particular car but have had many of 3rd gen Fbodies in my days so I'll answer any questions the best I can. Before bidding I suggest you contact me to come and view the car - it needs quite a bit to get back into great shape and I don't want to lead anyone on. Email me for additional pictures, questions, or to set up a time to see the car. She isn't pretty but it's a solid base to restore and maybe even start a KITT / Knight Rider project. Exterior has rust and front end damage. It is a T-Top car and has original rear wing. Interior rough but has PMD seats. Interior mostly these from what I can tell Engine is not original and tranny are not original. I was told it were swapped out for 350 from an early 80s Caprice. It's a 4bl carb. No Battery - I can jump it to start but then you're on your own. Rims and Tires don't come with it. They're off one of my projects. Bring your own or we can load onto your flat bed then remove. Out of state bidders should contact me to make arrangements before bidding. I'd prefer it all go complete but will consider parting it out after the auction if no takers. Email me if interested.
