Up for auction is a 1982 Datsun 280zx turbo T-top 2+2. No reserve so highest bid takes it. Marked as a 1979 because I don't have the car or title around currently. The car is being sold for parts as the frame rails are rotted. Car runs and drives excellent, have title available, can drive home, but will not pass PA state inspection. Drivetrain is all in good condition. Engine has a bad motor mount, so can be heard moving. Seems to have a cam sensor issue. Has the heads with adjustable valve lash, could use the adjustment. Trans shifts fine, no slipping, clunks or knocks. Engine runs very well, turbo spools up well and shows factory boost level.All gauges are there and working, including the onboard diag system. All systems read fine except wash fluid (tank leaks). Rest of interior is useable but not the best. Plastics are fading and cracking and front seats are broken down. Doors are excellent, but will need a little overspray cleaned off the vinyl. Rear seats were probably never used.Body panels are all useable, some are better than others. Looks like the last owner was a backyard bodyman and a poor one at that. There are a few spots where the bondo work is blatanly obvious, and the paint runs in a few spots. exterior trim is 99% there. All glass is there with no cracks or chips. T-Tops are in great condition. All power options work. Has 2 swastika style rims, that show a little clear coat loss, but not bad. the other two rims are off a stanza I believe.If you have an z car shell already, this has everything else you need to finish you project.
