Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1990 audi v8 quattro. No reserve, highest bid takes it. This was audi's flagship car at the time and it shows. The car is an R title, but was properly repaired, it drives straight and and the paint work looks excellent. The body is free of rust holes, but has a few places where the paint has chipped off and surface rust has replaced it. there are also a few places where the plastic panels broke and were repaired. The interior is in stunning condition for a car of its age, not a tear on the leather, and only minimal abrasion. There are a few cracks in the walnut trim's clear coat, and a ~1 inch crack in the dash. The bose stereo head unit works well, though its missing 2 button faces. Only the rear speakers work. The rear seat is currently in the trunk, as the battery sits under it and the one I have it too tall. The rear main seal on the engine leaks, so it will leave a small stain on your driveway. The leak is minor, oil level hasn't gone noticeably down since i've owned it. The engine runs glass smooth, and purrs like a street rod (stainless headers, full dual xpiped factory). Would sound amazing with the right aftermarket exhaust. Excellent oil pressure, just below 50 psi at idle. Transmission has a sport, economy, and manual mode. Car gets a reasonable 22mpg on the highway. Has amazing grip around corners in dirt, snow should be no problem. The underside is free of any rust holes, really all but minor rust. Tires have about 1/3 tread left.As to whats wrong with it... The throttle sticks intermittently and the brake pedal is mush. I believe the brake problem is in the brake booster. The brakes are hydraulically boosted, which I know nothing about. There are no audi dealerships in the area and I don't have the money to throw parts at it. The car is drive by wire and i believe the throttle issue to be a loose connection. If you can fix it, or are near someone who can, the car would be a killer deal. Parts from an identical parts car are also available on request for an extra cost. Any questions you have, don't hesitate to ask. Vehicle is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to pull the listing at any time. $150 deposit within 24hrs of winning please (paypal preferred). Thanks for looking.
