Vehicle Detail

Just in time for a cool Christmas present! Legend has it that the Anaconda Brewing Company, Anaconda, Montana converted this 1929 Ford Sedan (I think) to a pickup truck as did many businesses and private individuals during World War II. The reason, I have been told, is because the gas rationing for a truck was an increase over that of a passenger car. I bought this car/truck on eBay a couple years ago from a guy who bought it from a guy who bought much of the Brewery’s memorabilia. Subsequently the car was reported to have been driven annually in the Anaconda parade until just a few years ago. The miliage is unknown but in the listing I had to put a number - hence - 99999. There is no title nor have I been able to get it to running. The title is not a show stopper as there are legal ways of procuring a new title al be it a bit cumbersome and time consuming. I will provide you a bill of sale as well as a copy of the bill of sale from the guy I bought the vehice from. As to it’s run ability, it think it is just me. I have been told that if the old Model A will turn over it will start. The motor turns over and has hit several times. I put $40 worth of new spark plugs in it. I am sure it has ages of debris in the carburetor and poor spark. I am not even sure of the correct spark and gas settings. The frame, running gear and suspension are complete. The wheels are the much sought after later 1930s all steel which will mount a wider, lower and more dependable tire. The tires on the vehicle all hold air. The car/truck is missing a headlight, has broken and missing glass and I am sure other garnish items but does have the door handles, spare tire mounting device, brake and tail light, instrument panel, etc. There are three ways to go with the old car/truck. First restore as best you can in its modified state. I have a friend with a 1929 Chevrolet converted sedan to pickup who has put thousands of dollars in the vehicle and it is show piece and conversation piece wherever he goes. Second find a decent sedan body and restore it back to the sedan it originally was. The last and the one that was my concept is find a truck cab and bed and make it into a pickup truck. Hopefully the pictures will help you with your decision, make no mistake this car/truck is a project, sort of a diamond in the rough if you will. There is a low opening and no reserve. I have a 100% eBay rating and will answer questions honestly and I will help you in any way I can. I do have a truck and trailer and could transport the car from Clancy, Montana for you at a reasonable price for a reasonable distance to your home or to meet a transporter somewhere in between. Please Daytona Beach, New York City and Pakistan are not reasonable distances form Clancy, MT. I would ask for $500 within 48 hours of the sale and the remainder prior to shipping. Thanking you in advance for your bidding, I am ; Respectfully yours. Larry B. I am going to post both of them for everyone to see.
