Vehicle Detail

Hello All, Fresh out of a barn in the Virginia mountains we have a 1944 Willys MB Jeep. In great shape for the year. We are talking 65 of them to be exact. The born on date is 10-17-1944 It has the 4 cylinder L-Head I believe it says 134 cid gas engine. Starts right up and runs smooth. Does not smoke and has plenty of power. That is all 15 horsepower... The carb needs a rebuild or cleaning because we have to leave the choke 1/3 out to keep it running. This should not be an issue. It appears and should have the original engine and is still running a six volt system. We have installed a new Interstate battery and is under warranty. We have been driving it around the neighborhood without any problems. Runs strong and shifts thru all gears. 4 x 4 has twin sticks and works as well. Radiator is good. Temp stays @ 170. All lights appear to be working including the turn signals. The only lights we can't get to work and might be because we don't know how is the interior map lights. All others work properly. Wheels, tires, spare, and all attachments are in great shape and all working properly. The top and seats are new and I have the book from Beachwood Canvas Works That they were ordered from. The top does have one 1/2 inch slice right where it goes over the windshield by the snaps. Hardly noticeable but letting you know. Easy fix if it matters. The body and whole truck has been thru a restoration at sometime. There has been bodywork and there is bondo. It looks to be a non-professional job. The patches have not been sanded very smooth to today's standards but on the same token it still looks good. Again lets remember 65 years old. There is to very minor spots of surface rust reappearing on the inside rear. ONLY surface. There is some rust under the body in the support channels but any places we have seen rust it has been stopped and sealed. I have plenty of pics and will have detailed pic if you want them. The frame and all running gear are perfect. A great opportunity to own a piece of history in well above average condition. You will never have a lack of attention anywhere you go in this truck. Also included are two in depth manuals on every nut and bolt that has to do with this vehicle. See pics. Any questions I will try to answer in a timely manner. If you are interested and would like to view this truck in Gainesville Va 20155 please let me know. On Nov-22-10 at 18:17:48 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry no turn signals. If you have noticed the nomenclature plate is off the dash. We are in the process of having the title reassigned. The plate will be re affixed and a clear title will be available by auction end.On Nov-22-10 at 18:44:55 PST, seller added the following information: Things I forgot, again. This will make a nice Christmas gift for the military or Jeep enthusiast. This vehicle is parade ready. I was thinking of the Christmas parade myself. In the shipping description please disregard the $250.00 deposit. We do have a shipping terminal in Manassas Va and will be able to deliver vehicle to that depot.
