Thank you for looking at our auction! Here is another very nice Mustang 5.0 from Dipstick Motors in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. This car has amazingly low miles for a 1988 5.0 Mustang and is verified by Carfax and Autocheck. This is a one owner car with an amazing Autocheck score of 52 with average range being 19-41. This Mustang is completely stock.
This car was purchased new by the original owner on August 5th 1988 in San Bruno California at San Bruno Ford. It lived its life in Milbrae, California with the original owner. The car was garage kept and is in amazing condition. This is a west coast rust free mustang 5.0
This Mustang 5.0 is Dark Shadow Blue Metallic in color and has a Regatta Blue interior. In 1988 there were 1600 Dark Shadow Blue Metallic 5.0 LX hatchbacks made. It has a 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission, alloy wheels, power steering, power window and lock and air conditioning. It has power mirrors, map light, cruise control and an am/fm cassette radio.
In 1989 the original owner had the 85 MPH speedometer switched out for a 160 MPH Ford Motorsport speedometer. The original speedometer which will be included with the car had 7,705 miles on it at that time. The car currently shows 31,603 miles. That give a total miles on this car of 39,308 miles. Check the Carfax/Autocheck it is very clear the low miles on this car.
In 2008 prior to his passing away, the original owner had the car repainted in the original Dark Shadow Blue Metallic paint 7N. Although this car shows very nicely, it is not a show quality paint job. The paint is a base and clear coat paint job. I have not found any dents in the car. All body vin tags are in place on the car, there is no evidence this car has ever been wrecked or damaged in any way. According to the son of the original owner, the car was repainted as the paint was no longer shiny as the owner felt it should be.
The interior of this mustang is in amazing condition. Most of the interior is in near mint condition. The ash tray and storage lids both work and are in excellent condition. The female receptacle for both seat belts plastic sleeves are broken as in most mustangs of this vintage. The original owner screwed the female recepticle to the console for ease in fastening. I have not changed or removed this as it seems to be a very good idea! All power equipment on this car works as it should. There is a some wear on the lower side of the driver and passenger side door seal (rubber). The original unused spare including the 4 lug nuts removed by the dealer ship when wheel locks were installed, lug wrench and jack are in place. The wheel cover is in amazing condition with stickers inplace. The back seats fold down and fasten as they are supposed to.The rear cargo cover is in very good condition. The carpet in the car is like new and very clean. The radiator and heater core were replaced in 2009 by San Carlos Auto Center in San Carlos California at a cost of 989.78. The receipt will accompany the car. There was a safety recall on the ignition switch of this mustang, the switch was replaced 6/5/96 by San Bruno Ford and had 11,737 miles at that time.
The tires on the car need to be replaced. They are checking on the side and very worn. Although I have driven the car about 20 miles to make sure it runs and drives perfect, I would not drive it far without changing the tires.These Firestone Firehawk SVX 225-60-15 tires were installed on the car 5/3/2001 when the car had 21,183 miles on it. The receipt will be included.
This Mustang 5.0 runs and drives like a new car. It is very tight and handles amazing. It has newer stock exhaust and should need nothing except tires to be driven daily.Interestigly enough, the LX Mustang 5/0 has all the amenities and power of the Mustang GT without the 200 extra pounds of the GT package. Kind of makes it the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing!
There is a June 1st 2010 California Smog Check Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) included with the car. This car is in compliance wth California smog requirements.
As a final note, I have the receipt given to the original owner of this Beautiful Mustang 5.0 on 8/5/1988 by San Bruno Ford in San Bruno California for the purchase price of $15,730.13. I will include this receipt with the sale.

Unless arrangements for storage of the vehicle are made in advance all vehicles will be picked up or shipped within 21 days. In the event the vehicle is not picked up within 21 days, a $25.00 per week storage feel will apply to cover the cost of inside secure storage. This fee will be paid prior to the release of the vehicle.
We reserve the right to end this listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale. Please do not bid unless you are serious about owning this vehicle. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay.

Who we are?
Dipstick Motors is the brainchild of my wife and I. Why Dipstick Motors? Because we take buying and selling good quality used cars seriously but not too much so. It’s a little whimsical but so are we. We wanted something catchy. Most people are going to remember it. If it doesn't have a dipstick, we won't sell it.
We both have real eight to five jobs but buying and selling used cars has been a desire of mine as long as I can remember. It started with foxbody Mustangs but has grown to any good quality used car. My wife’s desire? To clean anything she can get her hands on. Hmmm..............I can see where this could work out well for me and for you.
We are both long time Oregon residents with ties to public service. We have lived in the Turner area just outside of the capitol of Salem Oregon for a substantial amount of time. We are honest and credible people. We have no desire to mislead or overcharge. Longtime car people say we won’t make it in the car selling business. It is our desire to prove them wrong. We aren’t about smoke and mirrors just good used cars for a fair price. We welcome any questions about our cars and our business. Our business is run out of our 3 bay auto shop on our property.
OK now for the real details about us. Me-John, I’m a long-time car afficionado who loves to have a different car every month. As this can become quite expensive my wife encouraged me to follow my dream of buying and selling car. I love fox body Mustangs and finding different collectible cars used for law enforcement purposes. I try to get the best cars that I can because I believe people are interested in low mile good used cars. I plan on retiring October of 2011 and will take my dream and passion full time.
