1991 Izusu trooper wagon 4wd automatic. This could be a good vehicle for someone with a little auto knowledge. It was a great running wagon until a few months ago when the transmission would not engage in reverse for a few seconds. Over the last two months it got worse and worse and then finally it was slipping in forward gears. A friend said I should try it in 4 high but I didnt even bother to try. I parked it and ended up buying another vehicle. It MAY drive out and get you some where local but I would not trust it for any sort of long trip. The last time I drove it it was pretty bad and I was happy to get it home so be prepared for the worst. I will get it somewhere local (Within 20 miles of Knoxville Tennessee) but after that it is up to you. The exterior is in fair shape,the only real issues I see are a section right behind the front driver side wheel is crumpled (about the bottom six inches) and the cowl vent has 2 dings in it. the rest is about what you would expect from an isuzu of its age, clean no rust but some minor dings. (Sorry about the one night photo I am not trying to hide anything I just forgot to take a pic of that side until I was doing the listing) The interior is not bad, seats are fine. The drivers side front is wearing a little on the back but no rips. The plastic looks good but the carpet has seen better days. The tires are fair and have some life still on them. There is a hitch attachment on the back (but no ball) the antenna is missing. The rear breaks are new. I could part it out and get some good money for just the motor but I dont have the time or energy and would expect it can be fixed reasonably. If you bid, I expect you to buy. No I have not. Another person said they had this same problem with their 89 and changed the fluid and filter and this solved the problem. If you want to buy it and try it, it may work. I dont want to mess with it and I make no guarantees. I do not know what kind the transmission is.
