Vehicle Detail
up for consideration, one 1963 volvo p1800 jensen. what makes this one a lot different from anyone else's jensen you ask?.... this one is perhaps the last of the holly grail p1800 cars out there. this is vin# 5997 only 3 numbers away from the end of the run for the jensen cars in 1963. with that said i have asked every self proclaimed expert to every old school volvo p1800 parts guys/ true expert. and no one has info on the where abouts or storys of what happened to 5998, 5999 and 6000 other then that more then likely they where broken up for parts or crushed. and every one has told me, this car may be the last surviving jensen made. it has been in dry storage since i bought it a few years ago. this car needs a total 100% restoration. and i just dont have the time or space anymore. most restorations you see on ebay can be duplicated, however this one, not so. the last of the line, the last of the original p1800's, this is a once in a life time chance to grab history. buyer who buys this car needs to realize this car needs everything. prior to me purchasing this car, it lived outside under a tarp since the 1970's in new england. body work is needed! ENGINE NUMBERS MATCH THE CAR AND CAN BE RESERCHED ON THE VOLVO P1800 PICTURES WEB SITE UNDER DELIVERY INFO. from what i can tell car is original and mostly complete. prior to me purchasing it some one took bumpers some chrome bits and some interior items, what you see in the pics is what you get. i have not tried to run the engine, or try to get it back on the road for it is not road worthy. and yes there is rust. car does roll freely when pushed. this project is not for the faint of heart however i know it can be brought back and be one of those p1800's that will be very sought after and slightly famous. so bring your trailer or line up your auto transport people i will help load it. car does need to be taken away no later then december 20 2010. otherwise there will be a storage fee of $50 a week. reserve price is $1000.00. winning bidder must pay their winning bid within 7 days of auctions close. good luck and happy bidding. this car is not currently street legal so you must have it towed away. winning bid over the reserve price is under contract to purchase car within 7 days of auctions close and take car away. winter is coming, what better way to spend it than locked up in your garage fixing this ride up and making it beutiful !
