Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1954 Studebaker. This car was only made in 53 and 54 - 54 is the more desirable car as Studebaker made many structural improvements that year. V8, automatic with power steering is very rare. For more photos visit http://peterborough.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1954-Studebaker-Commander-Hardtop-Regal-Starline-W0QQAdIdZ240586716 Stock V8 engine completely rebuilt 5 years ago. 37,000 original miles. Runs great, certified and being driven. Solid, original and complete car - The only thing that is missing is a rear tail lens which I've seen on eBay a few times. Great for someone looking to take her back to her original beauty or to rod...these guys don't come up on the market often. Lots of extra - 2 barrel carb, intake manifold (Holley 4 barrel mounted), NOS hub cabs, manuals, emblems, radio bits and pieces...and probably more. I'm the second owner, bought it off a guy in 2004, he inherited it from his grandfather who was the original owner and parked it for quite some time (in a dry garage). The car was originally purchased at the Toronto car show (it was the floor car). It has all the options you could get that year, including power steering. The car will need a coat of paint soon and also has a pretty good dent in the drivers side rear quarter, photos of the damage can be seen in the kijiji ad noted above. I will not ship this car, anyone interested in purchasing must pick it up cash in hand (within 10 days of auction close) in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. A $500 deposit will be required through PayPal to hold the car. The remaining funds must be paid in cash when the car is picked up. On 14-Nov-10 at 14:32:38 EST, seller added the following information:Just added more photos - can be seen here http://picasaweb.google.com/3lysium79/1954Studebaker?authkey=Gv1sRgCO7Mhqudv5HROA# This car is not as shiny as it appears, the light was very good and I had just waxed and polished it. I do not intend to mislead anyone. It needs paint. I am having the rear quarter repaired and while it will be painted it is not likely to be a perfect match for the existing paint. Once the repair is complete I will post more photos including the repair, the undercarriage and the interior (the undercarriage and interior are not mint but are very good for an original car).On 14-Nov-10 at 14:39:16 EST, seller added the following information: 1954 StudebakerOn 14-Nov-10 at 16:26:07 EST, seller added the following information: On 15-Nov-10 at 08:43:59 EST, seller added the following information: More photos taken this morning. I have included what I could get of the undercarriage (I don't have a hoist, so it was difficult to get really great shots.). The frame is very solid in the front, there were a couple of small holes in the back which have been repaired. Someone may wish to drop the whole rear end at some point and build a tube frame. I also included a couple more interior shots and a couple photos of the repair to the rear quarter. As you can see the black paint used is not as a true a black as the rest of the car. That being said the car really will need a paint job soon (included are a few close ups of some minor blistering). Also a shot of the headlight ring to give you an idea of what kind of shape the chrome is in. Hope this helps everyone, I want to make sure I'm not falsely representing the car. It is solid and straight, runs great, but needs some work to make it truly show worthy. On 15-Nov-10 at 10:20:00 EST, seller added the following information: More Photos as requested. Includes interior trunk shots, another pic of the undercarriage, current odometer and a couple others for good measure. Please message me if there is anything specific you want to see and I will try to accommodate promptly. Current Odometer Reading On 15-Nov-10 at 16:35:44 EST, seller added the following information: Here's a video showing the car running also a quick walk around. Sorry about the wind/traffic noise, it sounds a lot better in person. On 15-Nov-10 at 17:54:38 EST, seller added the following information: One more video with a longer walk around and a peek underneath May take a few hours to work (it's about 6pm EST), YouTube is still processing the video
