Vehicle Detail

This is going to hurt...me that is. Again, I have to sell off my toys to make it through these financial times. I am selling my 1952 MG TD. This is not a kit car, but an original MG. I got the car from my step-father when he passed away 10 years ago. He bought it in the early 60's, and the car has been in Arizona ever since. The milage of about 80,000 is the actual milage of the car. I drove the car a couple of times and decided to clean it up. I have spent over $7,500.00 on this project already. I stripped the car down to the frame and began. Every bolt is in a baggie that is clearly marked so every bolt and part goes back the way it is supposed to. The frame, tub, rear fenders, running boards, front and rear aprons, spare tire rack, have been painted. The engine was gone through by an MG mechanic as was the trans and rear end. Every part, nut, and bolt, that came off the car was bagged and labeled, cleaned up, bead blasted, and reassembled with new seals, gaskets, and replacement parts where needed. The car retains all the priginal wood components...an advantage of living in Arizona. The suspension parts were replaced with all new bushings and seals where applicable. The spring pans were disassembled, bead blasted, painted, and reassembled. The car is back together about 75 percent. I've been working on this for 7 years...off and on. Here's what is left to be done... paint 1 door, the front fenders, and hood. and install them. Install all the wiring. Install the interior. Connect the fuel line... drive the car. I have every part that came on this car when it came from the factory... except the following. Here's what I don't have... I don't have the original seats or the old dash cover. They were in such bad shape that they were unusable. I have the convertable top and parts, but the top will need to be replaced, along with the window coverings. Make no mistake, there is work to be done. I have done all the hard stuff, the rest is up to you. I guarantee that all the parts are there (except the list above), and we will go through them to your satisfaction prior to completing the transaction. I have a printed list of the individually numbered bolt baggies, so finding the correct bag is a snap. I have purchased all the necessary light gaskets, beading, rubber bits and pieces, and such, so there shouldn't be much to buy, other than the interior and top. I don't want you to get upset if the odd bolt is missing, so please be reasonable with this project. If you want to get together prior to placing a bid to inspect the parts, please let me know and I'll make arrangements. Thsi car is being sold as is, so make sure you want a project of this kind before bidding. Email me before you bid with any questions. There is a 500.00 paypal deposit due within 3 days of winning.
