Vehicle Detail

My beautiful Marlin twin stick is for sale here. Ive owned and loved this car for 8 years and spent well over 10 grand perfecting it mechanically and somewhat cosmetically.Reluctantly selling in favor of a "deal of a lifetime" on another classic. Virtually everything under the hood has been gone through---- engine, carb, radiator, brakes steering box--- body is extra nice -clean quarter panels and although not perfect, pretty straight for a 40+ year old car---I also had it painted at a local production shop-certainly no concour paint job, but great for someone who wants to be able to drive and enjoy the car and not be too fearful of a chip or two.Seats are not upholstered exactly as original but I think are very well done; carpet was a cheap online purchase that is just acceptable in quality but looks nice. There are a few quirks ( as with all oldies) the a/c is non functional although it does appear to be all there-the fan for the heater does not work, neither does the radio-which I never minded because the exaust rumble from the new muffler/exaust system is pure music! The speedometer only goes to 60mph-weird feeling when im flying down the freeway and it merrily says im just doing 60! The headliner is also flaking and in crappy condition, something virtually all Marlins are afflicted with. As i have said, I love driving this car and the looks and comments from people are hilarious(HEY! nice Barracuda!) but it does take some getting used to to take advantage of all the gears with the twin stick( frankly, the car has so much torque I usually just start in second and move to third and Im done) Im sure there are things I am leaving out so if interested please send me a note-- Marlins (and all AMC products) are vary undervalued and will only appreciate skyward-specially the rare ones like this! Thanks for looking, Scott P.S. It started raining just as I was taking pictures so if you want to see anything in particular just let me knowOn Nov-10-10 at 10:21:22 PST, seller added the following information: I just noticed that someone without a bidding history has placed a bid........... I feel a bit uncomfortable with this and would like future bidders with little or no history to contact me before bidding- thanks agian, Scott
