Here you found my 1985 Mercedes 300CD turbo-diesel coupe . This car comes in the rare and original color combination of black ( MB color code 040 ) with black MB-Tex interior . I think , this is the most elegant color combination Mercedes made . This is an extremely well maintained original California car . Just within the last 4 weeks the following items were replaced .  Front brake pads and rotors. New power steering box. New ball joints . New transmission mounts. Complete service with fluids , filters and valve adjustment . New hood-pad .  This car truly runs terrific and i could not think of anything it needs . If you take care of these cars the way this one has been taken care off , they will last you a life time .  They are known to go for over 500k miles without any mayor engine work . There are several cars with this engine on Ebay right now with over 400k miles and still running well .   This car has always been garaged and it shows . The body and the paint are stunning . There are no dings or dents at all , as the pictures will show . The interior is in great condition as well . The seats are firm and without any rips or tears . The carpets are clean and even the wood pieces still look great . All together this car does not show it's age at all . It looks and drives better than many much younger cars today .  The original radio was replaced with a newer unit , featuring an input for an Ipod and it was pre-wired for satellite radio . The turbo diesel engine has plenty of power and is actually quite quick . On a recent long distance trip i was cruising with 90 Mph while still averaging 27 miles per gallon of diesel . This must be one of the most economical and reliable classic car , which you can actually drive every day without worries .  1985 was also the last year Mercedes made the 123 series turbo diesel coupe , which would also make this an interesting and practical investment . The 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel engines are also the perfect candidate for Bio diesel conversion . This way you could drive them on vegetable oil or free waste oil from restaurants .  I did take a lot of pictures and they can tell you about this car much better than i can .
