I purchased the car a couple years ago. It was abandoned in a yard and was in desperate need of restoration. I started restoring it but have ran out of time and money. I just got married and im now a stepfather to boot. So time with my family has taking priority and one of my projects need to go. My Fiero is the one i need to pass on to someone else. Lets start with what i have done to it so far. So far i have completely rebuilt the motor, machining done professionally. Everything in the motor was replaced when i rebuilt it about 3000 miles ago. The heads were rebuilt at the same time, same machine shop. Has a new clutch kit in transmission. Tranny shifts nice a smooth with no binding or grinding of any kind. Nothing on the car leaks a drop. I have repainted the car to its original red color. I have replaced the carpet inside and installed some aftermarket gauges above the center console. The tires have a lot of tread left on them still. All the lights and windows work. There is still work to be done such as. The windshield needs replaced. Its not shattered but has a few cracks in it. The paint is all done except for the spoiler and the final color sanding and buffing to get that glass like finish. The interior needs some attention, specifically the seats and center console pieces. The seats are in good shape, just need some new upholstery. The sail panels are missing on both sides. I needs a new hood latch cable and park brake cable too. The only other thing is that it does have any slight exhaust leak you can hear mostly when the engine is cold. The car has run great for me and has been a lot of fun to drive. Will be a great car for someone when its done.
