69 Volkswagen beetle bug with lots of extras and original Air Conditioning unit The car is currently NOT RUNNING. It was running a week ago when I had an interested buyer. The buyer was test driving the car and the key got stuck in the ignition in a position between off and turning the car. I managed to remove the key, but the ignition is still stuck, so the car wont start. The key will turn to the ACC position where the power is on, but it will not go past it. So it's feasible to put in a push button start. Last week when the car was running it drove up and down the street, but wouldn't idle, so the engine needs some work I am the second owner, the first being my Great Aunt who bought it off the lot in 1969. The car has a white exterior with red paneling and interior. It has 118K miles total on it, but it has a new engine, clutch, and carburetor with only around 10,000 miles on them. The engine was put in by a mechanic at 108K miles in 2005 and I can give you the paperwork. no heavy body rust, the floorboards and under side of the car are rust free. Has original black plates, hub caps, and emblems. Haven't driven the car much in the last few years, just back and forth across the street for parking. I recently changed the oil, spark plugs, rotor, cap and spark plug cables. BONUS ITEMS (see picture for most of the items listed): It comes with a roof rack, 2 sets of bumpers, two extra tires, 4 extra rims with VW hubcaps, 2 extra head lights, 2 extra rear tail lights covers, extra set of sun visors, a horn ring, light bulbs, fuses, Chilton's manual and the classic book: how to keep your VW alive. I had replaced the original radio, but you get the original radio if you would like to switch it back. The car also comes with its original deal installed air conditioning unit, which I hear is rare on a 69 bug. The unit was cut out of the car and did not work before it was removed, but the car has the piping and an under-carriage pan that is needed to run the AC unit. There is a dent in the left front fender and the hood has some rust. Serious buyers only. Cashiers check or cash only. Payment and Transfer of ownership/pick up required with in 7 days.
