Vehicle Detail
I am selling two 64 galaxies. One is destined to be an awesome car and would make a great winter project. The other could also make an awesome car or could contribute to making one completely super awesome car! Either way, somebody stands to take advantage of my misfortune.. The candy apple red and snow white pearl galaxie has been my personal project for the past few years. I no longer have time or shop space to continue. I started with a running car complete with a late 60`s 390 motor with a two barrel setup and quickly blew it apart to create an early sixties style mild street custom. I really envision this car with some Radir mags and cheater slicks with a wicked rake, but.. All paint and body is complete with subtle body mods including shaved hood and trunk script and fender ornaments. The lower body is painted in PPG liquid crystal "candy apple red" and the roof is done in House of Kolor "snow white pearl". The entire body is buried under 4 coats of House of Kolor Klearcoat and has been color sanded and buffed. Motor consists of a latemodel 390 dressed with sanderson jet coated headers and backed by a completely rebuilt C6 trans with a shift kit. Trans was gone through by Richard Sr. of C & R transmission in Charlottesville ,VA. Radiator has been redone as well as gas tank. Bumpers were rechromed at Hanlon plating in Richmond as well as the door handles. I also have a brand new windshield, gaskets, and brake components yet to be installed. There is trim enough for both cars and some has had the anodizing stripped to make polishing easier. I do not have any wheels for the red galaxie as they belong to my collegue who is selling the 64 chevy biscayne but i may be able to provide some rollers in a pinch if need be. Today was overcast and not condusive to capturing the brilliance of the paint on the red galaxie but i'll try again tomorrow. Please contact me with any and all questions. I am selling this duo at an extremely low reserve in an effort to make some space and lighten the load at our shop.
