Vehicle Detail

1968 Ford Bronco 4x4 Half-Cab. 21,249 Original Miles a true SURVIVOR. 289 V8, 3 speed manual on the column, Warn lock-out Hubs and posi-traction. All original FORD metal, NO patch panels, ZERO rust, nothing hiding - anywhere. Never disassembled, this is an UNRESTORED and UNCUT time capsule. Original paint, original upholstery, original Ford CarLite script glass still in excellent condition! All rubber seals are still supple and soft, WOW! Starts right up and runs like a champ - 42 year old beauty is in much better condition than 41 year old owner! Everyone who sees this truck is just simply amazed by its condition! Just may be the very last, very best, original one available - ANYWHERE. It should be in a museum, Ford showroom, or prominent Ford collection. I’ll let you be the judge. Remember, they’re only original ONCE! This unmolested example of history won't be around long, I promise. Email with any intelligent questions, and please, bid ONLY if you are serious and have the funds to complete this transaction. No negative feedback buyers will be considered and such bids will be cancelled in fairness to real parties. I reserve the right to end auction early or remove listing at any time. Please be serious about purchasing, as I am serious about selling. If you wish to view this Bronco in person, or send an agent, inspection is welcome at any time during the duration of the auction, please contact me for an appointment. Vehicle is located in Salt Lake City, Utah (84105-1613) As with all used cars, it is sold AS-IS! Absolutely no warranty or guarantees whatsoever, what you see is what you get. You WILL be very pleased! Payment: Deposit of $2000 due within 48 hours made by wire transfer or verifiable Cashier’s Check sent by overnight service, balance due within 7 days of auction end or before pick-up, which ever occurs first. Thank you to all for the comments/compliments - the interest level is beating that of the daily driver that I am also selling and it is supposedly a "hot car" - thanks again and best of luck! The truck does have California emissions For extensive pictures of the truck, please go to: jimmyzslc.winkflash.com Truck has been operated with lead replacement additive to protect the valves and head. It was owned by the original owner from new until June'02, when it was purchased by a collector in Wilson (Jackson Hole, WY). He held the Bronco until July'09 when it was sold/traded to another collector (Chevy) who sold it to me in August'10 (just last month). I fully intended to drive this dream daily to and from work. I had no idea that Manual Steering and Manual Brakes would be this difficult to deal with (especially in my parking garage at my office). There is NOTHING wrong with this amazing piece of Ford history - it just needs an owner with the upper body strength to be able to fully enjoy it. The tailpipe also appears to be newer (as do the tires, oil filter, and battery). There is some JB Weld or caulking in the seam of the cab/bed behind the driver's side. I have NO idea why/when/who's brain child this was. It looks very old, but I am nervous about removing it. The truck fires up beautifully with 2 pumps and then a floored accelerator. She runs smooth an strong. Makes a few small clicking noises at launch (u-joints?) but then not after. Quietly cruises 1st through 3rd, loves (geared for) 40 mph, going taller she sounds like an old P-38 Mustang taking off from 47-49 mph (sheetmetal vibrating) & then quiets right back down. Smooth to 60, but hasn't been pushed past there. New Onwer "unknown" in 1968 WA Title #0211232002 for VIN#U1NLC92892 MSRP $3,450 6/4/02 Auto Brokers Jackson Hole sells to Peter C. Coxhead 14,775 miles for $11,920 7/5/09 Mr. Coxhead sells to collector Curtis Pearl (trucked to Powell, WY) who holds it until 8/21/10 when he titles/consigns it to another collector/dealer Chris Quintiliani (who trucks it to Cody, WY) 21,148 miles 8/23/10 Mr. Quintiliani sells the truck to me (trucked to Salt Lake City by Glacier Trucking) 21, 249miles to date As I have told a prior inquirer, I will not disclose the reserve in the spirit of an auction AND fairness, bid with your hearts AND your heads! You will NOT be sorry - she is simply AMAZING to behold! Good luck to all bidders and thanks for taking a look!
