The car has been garage kept its entire life. The speedometer has 20,000 miles. Maybe true maybe not, but she is in magnificent condition. She starts every time all the time. Short History: I first saw this car in 1975 in Fayetteville WV when I was delivering papers to an elderly lady on my daily paper route. She passed away in the late 70’s and the car was passed on to her daughter who lived in Florida. Her daughter moved it to Florida where it set in a garage for 23 years. When she passed away the car was purchased after the funeral and brought back to Fayetteville, WV. The new owner passed away and I bought the car from his widow this past spring. The car had been in a garage under cover and had not been started in over 8 years. I brought the car home, rebuilt the fuel pump, flushed out and replaced the fuel lines, cleaned the carburetor, and flushed out the engine & radiator. In addition, I flushed the brake lines, replaced most of the hoses, installed new shocks - front and rear, new tires, and a new muffler. When I turned the key, she came to life immediately with a great VW engine sound. I have driven her all over town and gotten lots of inquisitive looks along with comments. Apparently very few people have ever seen one. Everywhere I go and/or stop people come up and want to know all about her. She’s a real head turner…. The paint is dull and I believe has been repainted years ago. There isn’t any rust that I can find. Call and come by for a personal inspection. Ask questions and I’ll try to answer them. Engine – 750 cc, 4 cylinders, three-speed, first gear is not synchronized. 5 gallon fuel tank Rear wheel drive, four wheel drum brakes.No radio
