This is a 1980 International Harvester Scout that was converted to a pickup. It RUNS GREAT!! The vehicle has the 6 cyl Nissan turbo diesel engine -- all is original to the vehicle, including the LOW mileage of 82,734. This vehicle could either be a daily driver, or, with a little bit of effort, could be turned into a show vehicle! Evidently this vehicle started out as a Travelall or Carryall -- the longer top was removed, along with the back seat (no, the current owner does not have either of these). The piece containing the rear window was then bolted into place (no cutting required to make this conversion). The shorter pick up top was also installed. The current owner used this truck around the farm to haul calves and bedding for the animals. The owner removed the bed liner so everyone can have a better look at the vehicle. When it was painted white, the bed wasn't, so it's the old yellow color. The only rust I can find on this truck is a little surface rust around the small dent under the right rear light, and some very light surface rust in the bed itself. All in all, this truck is in marvelous condition -- it isn't used now......just parked inside. The transmission is a manual 4-speed, and also has the 4 wheel drive. According to the owner, all are in great working condition. The vehicle does have air conditioning -- owner stated that it was there when he purchased the vehicle many years ago. This is factory air and it does work! Currently there are 235 75R15 tires on it -- Trail Mark M/S Radials that are in great condition! The owner does still have the moon hubcaps should anyone want to put the originals back on. In fact, the owner stated that he does have some additional parts that he will include should the new owner be interested. I believe he has another pick up top and another door that came from a different Scout.
