Vehicle was under restoration but owner decided against completing the project opting to sell the vehicle (he owns two of them). For an accomplished individual the vehicle should prove an easy restoration. Eighty-five percent of the interior, exterior trim items and carpeting have been removed, the front crankshaft seal was replaced, Injection System cross shaft bushings were replaced. Also replaced less than 6, 000 miles past were the front brake calipers and flexible fluid lines. Missing from the vehicle are the windshield (broken), front and rear bumpers, the front grill, clock and hub caps which were parted out. Seen in the photographs are the left inner and outer longitudinal members which were to be replaced as a result of rust (these can be optionally purchased for $800.00 and are genuine Mercedes Benz parts). Also, the left lower cowling and floor pan in the photos are included in the selling price. The engine had no running issues beyond the front crank seal leaking and the ignition distributor’s mechanical issue which was repaired together with the worn Injection pump / throttle plate cross shaft bushings being replaced on arrival. The flooring of the vehicle, together with the left inner and outer longitudinal members were to be replaced (it is possible to patch these but would not be ideal for such a vehicle, the correct new panels would cost approximately $500.00). There were no issues diagnosed with the clutch, transmission (four speed manual) or Differential. The exhaust system is good, requiring only the rubber isolators need be replaced, the tires and wheels, including the spare, are in good condition. As can be seen in the photos the hood, left and right doors, door window glass, Window glass regulators, seats and rear deck lid are in excellent condition. In that the vehicle represents a very good investment opportunity it is preferred that it be sold in its entirety, however, offers for parts will be considered. Presently the engine is not running as a result of the front portion and wiring harness being disassembled to replace the front Crankshaft seal and refitting of an A/C system.
