1955 Chevrolet Custom Show Winning pick up. A frame off restoration finished in 2006 and has less than 5000 miles on it. Over 70k was spent on the fabulous show truck The truck was a rust free straight truck before the restoration was done. The body, Cab, and bed are very straight and everything aligns very well. The custom paint is deep and glossy with only one chip to the cab under the window. The truck was taken apart before the paint was done, when it was put back all new rubber, gaskets, and trim was new. Every nut and bolt was replaced using new stainless steel fasteners. It is painted a dark metallic purple almost a dark blue. The gas filler was relocted to the rear of the drivers side with a modern pull release located under the fender. A brand new oak bed was installed with all new stainless and hardware, the sides of the bed are also in show condition. All glass is new one piece windows. The motor is a 383 cu in chevy with a B@M street blower running at aprox 4 lbs of boost, it has a Holley carb, ported, polished, clean and matched heads, custom bent stainless headers that go through a dual magna flow exhaust system it has great sound and is not real loud. Dyno at 460 HP it gets it. Lots of stainless steel lines and is also highly detailed in the motor compartment. Runs at 180 in 100 degree heat in traffic with the AC on. Upgraded Radiator with custom fittings, It has a 700R transmission with a ford 9 inch, four wheel disc brakes with all stainless brake lines, this truck stops very well and has no pulling when stopping at any speed. Full coil over rear shocks with a 4 link and a tubular A arm. The front has independent suspension also w coil overs and tubular A arms. Power steering and tilt wheel with a special billet and leather steering wheel.. Oil cooler is located under the passenger side as seen in the photos. Halibrands are new and unmarked on new BF Goodrich tires Interior has an upgraded dash with all of the new style gauges, all pull knobs have been polished, The dash has been painted black. Upgraded Sound System with CD, Ipod and XM radio, new carpet, seat, headliner, Vintage AC and heat, custom steering wheel. The doors align perfect and shut like a vault.This truck has less than 5000 miles and has won many awards, It runs outstanding no rattles, runs cool always, it is straight and true at 80mph.
