It's hard to part with such a comfortable, dependable car. The S-Series ride is smoother and quieter than any other production car and it's the first thing you notice in this very comfortable sedan. Double-paned windows create a quiet interior and special floor insulation and quiet tires keep road noise to a barely perceived minimum. The Bose stereo system is better than anything I have in the house and makes even traffic jams pleasurable. Seat adjustments are intuitive and both front seats include 3 preset positions. Dual climate controls assure comfort for the driver and front passenger. The front seat heaters provide two settings including a high setting that lets you melt into your seat. The car has never suffered a collision but does have some front spoiler damage due to curb interactions. The antenna does not extend when the radio is on because I left it up during a car wash once. Local and metro radio stations still come in just fine so I've never bothered to fix it. I think I'm the fifth owner since 1995; I bought it from my Mercedes Benz mechanic who took excellent care of it. The previous owner used a dealership for regular maintenance.
